ok any breaking bad fans here?
it is a compelling show, I am up to ep3x08 so if any care to discuss S-1-3 ??
I think the girl who played Jane in S-2 would have made a good cameron, that is if summer didnt do the role, first actress I have seen that I can say that about.
if you havent seen it you sould give it a try, S-1 isnt all that good, but S-2 and 3 are.

God, what a dark show.

I decided I didn't like it after the bathtub melted through the ceiling, but I did finish S1 (only 7 eps) out of curiosity.

What's so good about S2 and S3?

well the show in S-2 and 3 isnt like S-1, I didnt think S-1 was all that good, and the bathtub thing and some other stuff was gross.
you should go ahead and try S-2 the character of jane was good, they do have another guy tuco who is a bit overdone, but he gets killed, and that leads to other things happening in S-3.
the walt character is slipping to the dark side, but keeps popping back from it.
then have this character gustov who is a very well done and interesting character.
they decide they dont want to be involved with any more tuco's so they stumble on to this guy who is very intelligent but very cold.
his wife figures out what walt has been doing, and his dea in law is on their trail.
walt and jesse are both kind of stupid, so at times it is like watching the 2 stooges, but it has been very interesting to watch the development of these characters.
they make $ but is usually cost them dearly.

Oh, I absolutely love Breaking Bad. It's my second favorite show right now, right after True Blood.
Indeed I love the way it's dark and brooding, and how the tension (very) slowly builds up until the rather extreme happens. Definitely not for the faint of heart, nor for the fan of instant entertainment and gratification. I love the way it portrays the extremes you can go in the name of doing "the right thing" for himself and one's family. The main Walt and Jesse characters suffer *massive* evolution throughout the seasons, so I also love that.
You guys are yet to see the heights Walt will achieve as cook, kind of life the ultimate and massive meth "chef", as well as Skyler's major developments and involvements.
Season 5 will be the last. A must-watch for the adult and intense TV fan. The plot definitely matters on AMC.

Breaking Bad's "official" Wetpaint wiki is here:

It's sadly not too active, though.

I went there and it seems they have no active mod or admin.
they have the captcha thing to prove your human, I made a few posts, to see if I get a response , but I dont like the captcha thing. I think this site was abandoned in 2009, then again in 2010, now it is floating in space like a derelict spaceship.

Yeah, it was another one of those sites created and originally maintained by Wetpaint personnel (in this case clearly Eguy), but then abandoned once these people were laid off back in 2010. That's why it has rich and good-looking content up to a certain point, but then no more.
There are several other big wetpaint wikis about TV shows which were specifically left for some fans to manage (myself included) when Wetpaint did the lay-offs, but in order for that to happen, someone had to show interest in them, like I did a couple of times.

In this case, seems like no one volunteered to keep maintaining the site and it was just abandoned. However, if you're interested in taking over as a moderator there and work on the site, I would suggest you send a PM to Patty (who is also an administrator there) and she will probably promote you. If you don't get a response in a couple of days, we can try sending her a PM on a more active wiki and she will answer for sure. I can do that for you if you like.

The latest ep ("Problem Dog") was great. Especially Aaron Paul did a fine job as Jesse. Oh, and Hank is back ;-) Do you find this valuable?

yeah hank is back, and he is on to gustav, so this will all wrap up by ep 12, I think gustav will be dead.
the actor who is playing gustave has done a great job, it is a unique character.
and jesse , always changing, I wonder just who is the real jesse?
@ losa, dont bother with the mod thing on other wiki, as there are no fans there, we have 3 here,
so will just post here.

Yes, no doubt that Gustav Fring will be dead by the end of the season, or at least by the end of the show. The question will be if Walter leaves the business or if he actually takes over as the new kingpin. Since the show is what it is, I'm kind of "weirdly" rooting for the latter option.

As for Jesse, the question is to know where his loyalties lie right now exactly. I know that the most obvious answer would be with Walter, but I think we can also dig deeper and notice that Fring and this whole business are now providing Jesse with an importance and a sense of meaning in life that he had never felt before, probably. These "tests" that Fring put Jesse through are not innocent at all.

The last scene with Hank unraveling the whole plot in the end of the latest episode was just awesome. I expected no less from the guy.

About the other wiki, it's fine, T5000. I had just thought you might want to "take over" there, even though there isn't much purpose to it, I agree. I did that in a couple of TV show wikis, but there isn't really much of a point when you think about it.

1) Whoa, after having seen ep S0408 ("Hermanos") I definitely vote for Gus staying at least until the end of the show. There's some serious background story around him. I'm extremely curious now, how he's dealing with the cartel's ultimatum.
"This is what comes of sangre por sangre."
That was an excellent ep, Breaking Bad at it's best!

2) Hm, after ep 8 we're expected to start having at least some serious doubts about Jesse's loyality to Walt. ;-)

3) I really missed good old Hank and after his comeback it's a lot of fun to see him tracking down Gus. But I think he's getting in real danger again by doing this.

4) I'm for staying here (or on our Nikita or H50 wikis).

about jesse and walter, walt has been really mean and condencending to jesse at times, and then other times very caring. but jesses response to the other guy treating him like a capable person shows jesse needs or is wanting that. so his loyalty may go either way.

"or if he actually takes over as the new kingpin. Since the show is what it is, I'm kind of "weirdly" rooting for the latter option."......yes me too then it would be walt against the mexican cartel, and looking over his shoulder at hank, for S-5.
and gustave has been a great character , I dont want to see him go, but the way they have written it up to now seems to suggest his demise.
I have not seen 408 yet, will be back after I watch that, I was careful not to read tscc1000's post till I see the ep.
