Thomas Dekker back on TV

The Secret Circle_ I am going to have to read up on this, at first you would think it has to be as good as vd, but it wont have the same writing team, so I think it will start off with a bang in the ratings, and then depending if it is good or not could be a new hit for CW , same as the Ringer.ok google... Set in the fictional town of New Salem, Maine, the series will follow a shy California teenager who learns that she comes from a family of witches. Cast * Britt Robertson as Cassie Blake[3] * Thomas Dekker as Adam Conant[4]......here is tom 2nd billing so should be a primary role. * Gale Harold as Thomas Meade[5] * Shelley Hennig as Diana Meade[6] * Phoebe Tonkin as Faye Chamberlain[7] * Jessica Parker Kennedy as Melissa Glaser[8] * Louis Hunter as Nick Armstrong[9] * Natasha Henstridge as Principal Dawn Chamberlain * Ashley Crow as Jane Blake Natasha Henstridge was the species girl in 1st movie! Thomas Dekker as Adam Conant[4] so we get ol tom back! this should draw in a few tscc fans? gives me more reason to watch it. I am not big on witches , as you never know the rules or what they can or cant do, but since this is written by same guy [the books] it may have a defined ruleset like on VD. so this is now starting to interest me. The Secret Circle_ ok Brittany on Imdb ok I googled her and she is from life unexpected , so I already know her, and she can act. the one thing about both the Ringer, and Secret Circle is they will probably do well in the ratings , so you dont have to worry about them being canceled if you do like them. and it will be fun to see tom back on a tv show with witches, hope he has a good part, he is listed 2nd so it should be a main role. edit...... and he is back in school again ! LOL poor tom , he will graduate someday. and if he can handle terminators, he should be able to handle a few witches?? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

On the one hand, I'm very excited for Secret Circle. Not particularly because of Dekker. But because I'm a huge fan of Charmed and I would love to have a new witches show.On the other hand though... it's on CW. So I may get another Hellcats - starts off brilliant, then turns into fluffy teen soap mush. The idiot Dawn is gone though, so maybe not. About Ringer... idk, even though it's Sarah Michelle Gellar (Buffy is my favorite show of all times), the premise sounds kinda... blah. There's a third show CW picked up - Hart of Dixie. Main star is Rachel Bilson, she's awesome. And I'm hoping the show will have a bit of the Gilmore Girls vibe - a town full of quirky people, each crazy in their own adorable way. But again, it's on CW, so... Do you find this valuable? |

Hart of Dixie. Main star is Rachel Bilson, she's awesome, yeah I liked her on the OCnow with this show it may be good or not, but may struggle in ratings I talked about all 3 on my Nikita site Nikita site but I think sarah has alot of fans who will watch her do pretty much any tv show. thhis is her first tv show since buffy, so it should do great in ratings, and may drop off but will do good enough in demos to please cw. right now I predict a guaranteed 2nd season for the ringer. Secret circle, will be alot like charmed, and it is based on books written by Vampire diaries author, so should be good and with VD for a lead in , I think this show is also guaranteed a 2nd season. either one could do better than vd is right now. I am going to give all 3 a try, and then I also watch Nikita, and supernatural, so that would make the CW my main network! the thing I like is that 3 of the 4 new shows on CW are not the rich brat scenario I hate, so they will be worth trying. one thing I will say now is that hart of dixie is a terrible name for a show!, it is a doctor show, but no evidence of that in the title which to me is just incredibly stupid, as alot of people like doctor shows. the name alone may kill this show no matter how good it is, so e-mail them and tell them to please change the name. It should be Dr. Dixie or something. but hart of dixie says absolutely nothing about what type of show it is. reminds me of the tv show "Life" which was a great show, but no one watched it due to the silly ass name. it should have been "Charlie Cruz" Do you find this valuable? |

While you're certainly right that if it we're Summer there would already be posts here, the thing is also that not many people come to this wiki anymore.

"well i Guess no one here is interested in tom being on a new tv show??You're assuming a couple things. 1) That people actually go here. Like Gusar said, not many people come here anymore. 2) This is the first time people heard of it. It's been around other places, people know about it and have commented about it. 3) That everyone would reply. Some people don't have anything to add so they don't post. Summer Glau gets a bunch of posts from the same people over and over and over again. That doesn't mean everyone and their mama goes gaga for any Glau news. And most of the time, those posts go off topic and the thread doesn't even become about Glau or the job anymore. Do you find this valuable? |

A show about witches doesn't interest me, and neither does Thomas Dekker.I thought he put in a great performance as John Connor, but I really can't say I like the guy enough to follow him to another show. I might watch the premiere if nothing else is on in the same time slot worth watching, but don't count on it. Do you find this valuable? |

"well i Guess no one here is interested in tom being on a new tv show??Well, it's simple. What I've read so far sounds like it's about witches in a teen show ... ;-) And there are some roads I usually don't want to go down. It would be the same, if TD joined for example a hospital series or 902010xyz kitsch. So what should I comment else? ;-) Do you find this valuable? |

After reading the posts here and trying to do my part to make a number here then, I should add that I'm by no means a special Thomas Dekker fan, so I don't really care what roles he gets and what shows he's in. They're most likely be crappy anyway, because, well... let's face it... the guy is pretty small time and his track record hardly bodes well.If it's about witches, I'm even less interested, then. Wow... Charmed means so much to me, and here I see everyone totally dismissing witches. It hurts. Ok, I'm not serious. But it is kinda interesting. And it must be said that what makes Charmed so great is not that they're witches. So be careful - the witches stuff could just be a backdrop for other stories. Charmed was all about family.

Oh I'll be giving it a chance, with Thomas in it :)I actually didn't notice him in the trailer previews until tonight. At first I was like, nah just another witch show, but now I'm more excited. Will see how it goes. Buffy fan . . yeah me too. So of course Ringer will be given a chance as well :) Do you find this valuable? |

What's wrong with his track record? For such a "small time" guy he sure has been working steadily enough with quite a few big name projects that have been highly received.

"What's wrong with his track record? For such a "small time" guy he sure has been working steadily enough with quite a few big name projects that have been highly received."Meh... It's just my personal opinion, even though Dekker *is* small time. I loved TSCC just like the rest of you, but John's character clearly wasn't the one I liked the most, and I never though Dekker's performance was anything special worth writing home about. I also don't like Dekker's personality I see portrayed on public appearances and small interviews around the web. I realize the guy is young and needs to try to make a name for himself, but it always seemed to me that he acts way too cocky and trying to be cool all the time, when he really has almost nothing to show for, really. The way I see it, TSCC is probably still what he's mostly known for (and like it or not, for me it was also a sadly "small time" show in the end), even though he directed and acted in this "*****" movie and appeared in the pretty blasted "Nightmare on Elm Street 2010". We shall see his future... I just don't like the guy much... Can't help it... Do you find this valuable? |

ok thanks for the posts, good or bad.@ Losa, really all the tscc actors were small time? I like dekker, so am interested to see what he is like in this role, it may be good or bad, wont know till I give it a try. and about the witch thing, you would have to watch a few and decide if you like their angle on it or not. vampire diaries sucked for the first 5 eps, then it started getting good. I watch that, but I dont really care for vampires. I watched the cape for summer , and 1 ep of game of thrones for lena, and 1 ep of raising hope for garret, so will at least give tom 1 ep of secret circle. also will try the ringer , and hart of dixie, [rachel bilson] they are new cw shows too Do you find this valuable? |

I'm not saying Dekker is a big time actor. He's not. But he's hardly a small time one either. And he has landed some really good roles even though they were minor in some good fllcks post-TSCC. My Sister's Keeper and Cinema Verite were really good and I think he did a wonderful job in both roles.

well lets define big time, small time, it is not about a actor being good or liked by you, it is about recognition, how much money they have made films appeared in or tv shows done, for all of the actors on tscc , none of them are well known by the public, for example some people will watch secret circle and not know who tom is, same for lena in Got, and summer in cape. they all have fan groups , but are not know by alot of people.

I think this secret cirlce might be better than what people might think. Do you find this valuable? |
