TNT for TDE TechCom Unit Leader
Aug 19 2010, 9:22 PM EDT | Post edited: Aug 19 2010, 9:22 PM EDT
There's a guy on this wiki (much) smarter than I am on the subject of time travel - and I actually had a couple of lunches with Quantum scientists at Stanford Research Inst. on this subject regarding the TSCC S3 Fan Novel that they wanted to help out on.

I can prolly write a fan fic with a pretty good layman's explanation of HOW the TDE functions, based upon the latest "science" (cutting edge theories, really) but TNT can tell you WHAT is going on WITH the TDE.

This is much more important as this intel is the very stuff that could keep John and Sarah alive! ...and maybe get Cameron back (with her chip).

So, I appointed TNT as the TechCom Anti-Skynet TDE Unit Leader. I am hoping he accepts the prestigeous post, and this is a big responsibility and cannot be place in the hands of some rube...

I have no authority to make this posting, but with TPTB in disarray for the franchise, I figure we just go for it and let them send us a cease and desist order to stop our efforts.

Hey, we got only a little while before JDay so everything we do now can/will help JC save us in the future. We ARE the Resistance?

No Fate But What We Make, right?

His first mission assignment will be to copy and post his TDE timeloop explaination from various places so T fans will not be confused any longer about how time travel affects this story, since T1 on up...

Anyone with feedback pls post it here, and add any input you have on the subject, to add to our knowledge base.

Oh, and my reasoning for drafting TNT is he is far too valuable to be left out hanging in the public unprotected.

He knows too much!

Certainly he becomes a priority target for Skynet.

You (the reader) must study this subject - as taught by TNT - with some intensity: our future may well depend upon it.

Should TNT's knowledge be lost, we may not be far behind.

Besides, its the only way future writers for T brand may/will have any idea of what the hell they should be doing with the subject of time travel!

Yep, termi-ninja-tor.

He's been notified (I just got tired of complimenting all of his post and contributions on timeloops...)

TSCC fans: Sound Off! Anyone else concur with this appointment? Let TNT know we NEED his expertise.

Hell, let's face it: JF - and the other writers of TSCC - needed his expertise!

Jeez. Please stop.

I always try my best to answer any questions. People don't always agree with my answers, and I have been wrong a number of times.

For example, I thought Fischer was from Jesse's future for a long time, so I could not understand his mission. His mission was to put a back door software worm into the military-industrial complex computer system.

But why? Skynet in Jesse's future was developed from the first Turk, and it had been taken by the Air Force and installed into the military command system. Why would it need a worm to get in when it was already inside?

The obvious answer was that my first assumption was wrong, and Fischer was not sent by the first Turk. He must have been sent by another Skynet, the Kaliba AI Skynet. Kaliba AI never was installed by the Air Force. It grew all by itself and had been installing worms in as many computers as it could get into. But it wasn't able to penetrate the military command computers, so it needed inside help from Fischer.

So please feel free to ask me any questions. There is no guarantee that I will be right.

No guarantee John Conner will be right either...and Derek and Jesse certainly didn't agree with him, so...

Do the best you can.

Meanwhile, HE'S ARRIVED.

Our TDE SAVIOR!

We wuda threw you a parade, but party poppers were out of stock at WalMart (go figure).

Now then soldier, do you accept this assignment?

^ Pls answer carefully. Pls look up to top left of this page. Notice Sarah still has assault shotfun in her hands. Your answer will determine whether she makes you pancakes, or, makes life very, uh, painful...but, no pressure, right? *

Not into RP.

Some major RP threads over on Blue. Could never get into reading more than a few posts at a time.

Have you read any of them, Coach?

[edit add] Here's a nice example of an RP set that used to be here:

This one's more family oriented:

Is the stuff on your profile posted anywhere else on the wiki?

No need to rp, just accept the 'honorary' position. Still if you copy/paste some of your profile stuff (and maybe a diagram?) onto a page, we could make a thread around it. Fans like Coach and I will be happy, and you will be responsible!

(btw, no rp at all? so you really do exist on two server farms? : )

I'm glad you like the stuff on my profile page.

It is the result of my frustration and confusion from watching the show and not understanding what was going on. I tried to figure out an explanation that could fit all the facts so I could have some peace of mind.

I know there's quite a bit of it that is only my opinion that a bunch of other people might not agree with. Heck, I've argued with people about these very points on this wiki over the past couple of years. (Don't want to relive those arguments.)

I have been embroiled in discussion with many like, Schmacky, kaotic, Enigma6482, nyccine, SurfingEagle, TheOnlyCameron, T5000, Dr._Allison_Cameron, and many more. (And Coach, too!) I have tried to dodge some of the more acidic confrontations involving names that I will not mention here.

If you want to copy and post some of it for talking purposes, please feel free. I will be proud to see whatever you choose to take and happy to participate in any discussion.

That's actually kinda cool.

But I was thinking more of Sarah in T1 when she drug Kyle out of the truck to get away from the T-101: "On your feet soldier!"

Besides, this is a real appointment. Within the scope of T verse IS there an "authority" that oversees time paradoxes? I don't think so.

No bs, this is a valuable - and vital - task. No T fan or brand staff should not have this as a resource available. And you have a knack for unraveling this mess, and a talent for explaining it so lesser (meaning more confused about the subject - like me and JF) souls can absorb it and apply it to their knowledge of the story.

Right now, you have already uncovered a line of thinking that I missed re T for 25 years. And I think I have a pretty good analysis of this subject. No fan should be without THAT data!

Moreover, even if you are not always right (hey, nobody's perfect right?) at least your opinions and input provide a baseline for thought ON this subject, and that in itself has a value.

Fans do a lot of wild speculating: your ideas on time at least keep them in the ballpark. Kinda like having a noob keep his head down when a T600 is patrolling the area...

Stop being modest and accept the post already. Sheesh!

* Salutes! *

(I couldn't resist...)

Like I said earlier, I am happy to talk about it and answer questions, as I have been all along. (Actually, I only got so angry that I had to cancel my account only once.)

If you want an information resource, the wiki has always been a font of observation and answers.

One thing that Sarah always taught John was that he should protect himself and not present a big target. Having been beaten into a pulp on this wiki in the past and left bleeding in the threads myself, I have to agree with her defensive philosophy. It's not modesty; it's self preservation.

Hey I will 2nd or [3rd? LOL] the nomination for tnt !
but it sounds like he is pulling a young john on us and not wanting the job?
but tnt coach is a little like sarah in that he wont let you say no LOL.
it is just... let me read again......TDE TechCom Unit Leader !! you can handle that, just start a timeloop explanation thread and explain all time travel in the movies and tscc ! LOL
well to be serious just tscc events, and if you happen to be wrong I am sure someone will correct your theory.
again to be serious it would be nice to have all tscc time travel {TT ?] for tscc put in chronological order and short explanation of each one ??
I too assumed fisher was from jesse TL but not now. that is something else in tscc that I was curious as to the backdoor he put in and which skynet would use it . part of his mission was also to evidentally ensure he was in prison to survive and be used in future. and ironically he woud be used the 2nd time in a different timeline?

yeah, but this time you have a mad ranter to keep the dogs at bay.

I'm sure you noticed that the same peeps that came after you tend to not mess with me anymore.

You have my commitment to ride shotgun and allow you to do your thing with a minimum of interference. I may not agree with all you come up with, but it is ALWAYS a great jumping off point AND it always generates LOTS of new ideas.

What you do is provide time travel grounding AND allowing us to look at the subject freshly AT THE SAME TIME.

Who else can do THAT?

Not any of your detractors, bub. Maybe that IS why you get hated on. Remember, some fans are so intent on not having anything "rock the boat" re TSCC that they fight ANY ideas they deem a threat...like I oughta know...

Just step up and accept the damn post already. Don't let knucklehead thinking punk you into being less than what you are, man:

ACCEPT YOUR DESTINY!

...and we complained about JC whining...lol!

I thought Term's - of any type - never sleep.

Anyways, get some rest, and tomorrow pull out those big metal balls, and start aiming that sharp pointy thingy intently; I'm 6'8" and have taken on everything here so I ain't scared; Sarah will get the shotgun and make pancakes; Cam calls 9mm.

We're ready and loaded for Bear...

* Cue theme music *
