Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles prequel movie

Dear friends!
The idea of unprecedented fan-action was born within Russian brunch of Global movement on resurrection of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
The essence of this idea lies in the fact that, in our opinion, the most feasible possibility of Sarah Connor Chronicles continuation is creation of theatrical sci-fi action movie with drama elements (presumably category B). The script of such a movie would tie most of vaguenessies in such a way that would make it entertaining and understandable to both hardcore TSCC fans and newcomers from Terminatorverse.
In our opinion, the following goals must be accomplished:
- the movie must develop the TSCC story in commercially beneficial way;
- it must cover the maximum possible viewers auditory;
- be in close junction with James Cameron's T1 and T2 (and maybe subsequent movies)
The most satisfying story for those goals would be about events taking place in 2027 during the war with machines - The Sarah Connor Chronicles prequel movie. "Prologue".
The "Prologue" plot would be about the beginning of John Connor as the leader of the Resistance and about machine, lately known as Cameron Philips. This would be a story about crucial events in 2027, about actions and consequences that gave a start for two seasons of TSCC. It is the year the majority of series heroes (their true intensions were not fully revealed) and plenty of terminators came from.

From our point of view, the main and unquestionable advantage of "Prologue" is that this idea imply the start of "new" story. It would be understandable and interesting to everyone: series fans, terminator movies fans, who are not aware of TSCC or sci-fi and action movies fans in general.
The plot of the "Prologue" will not set any limits on the audience. That means that there will be no limits of the ways the movie can be distributed: it can be shown in the movie theatres, released on DVD/Blu-ray, shown on the television.
It is also possible that "Prologue" might come out as a blend of all the Terminator movies. Full-length version of the of The Sarrah Connor Chronicles will fill in a missing link between two plots, two philosophies in the world of Terminator. It is possible just because the action of a "Prologue" will take place in 2027.
In order for this idea to come true, besides current activities, we need to support the organization of the filming process by finding a sponsor to fund the movie.
Any large company that is interested not only in a direct recoupment of the financed project, but also in potential global advertising audience and social reputation from the invaluable contribution to realisation of the largest fan-action for all history. In our opinion, there are two possible ways of searching potential sponsors. Both of witch have their pros and cons:

1. Official appeal to the actual rightholder of the Terminator franchise - Pacifitor LLC. and their representer WME with an offer to invest the money in filming of this project.
2. Official appeal to other potential sponsors with the same offer. Besides that, we will need to address to potential contractor, TV channel or a filming studio, with a proposition on possibility of placing an order for shootings of the side-funded project, and to the legal owners of the Terminator franchise - Pacificor with a question on legal aspects of realization of the given project.
It is obvious that before sending an appeal to potential sponsors, it's important to support the offer with proofs of gravity of intentions, validity of the approach and sequence of actions. For that matter, in our opinion, we need:
1) To officially address to producers/script writers TSCC - James Middlton, David Nutter, etc., to learn:
- Their opinion about the given project, whether they will take part in it, whether advancement of the project with their name is possible;
- Above mentionet persons vision on possible scenary decisions;
- Possibility to get in contact with persons related to TSCC in WB.
2) Officially address main cast of the series, Summer Glau, Lena Headay, Thomas Dekker, and Bryan Austin Green, in particular with a question on their desire and readiness to take part in the given project.
The result of these actions should show the further direction of project realisation.
In process of an embodiment of the specified steps it is important not to forget to present our actions in every possible mass-media, excluding cases when it threatens success of the given action.

In any case, the certain resonance in TV-movie industry and fan-environment in connection with this action is guaranteed. That will surely help to achive our main goal – Terminator: TSCC revival!
If you find this offer interesting and worthy of realisation attempts, than, owing to a geographical arrangement, experience and absence of a language barrier, value of your participation in the given action is difficult to overestimate.

Best regards, TSCC fans

Once again we thank you for attention!
A version of the reference to the potential investors has already been prepared, will be published later and with interest and enthusiasm. It is necessary to notice that the potentiel of the "Prologue" opens interesting prospects for Terminator: TSCC as well.
Yours faithfully, participants of Resistance: Spirity, Riavenger (idea "Prologue"), VQsyl and others, transfer KAD. terminator-scc.net.ru

Assuming there will only be one TSCC movie, is a prequel likely to be the best money-maker?

While a prequel will answer a lot of questions, for existing TSCC fans, how well will it appeal to a broader audience?

The TSCC fanbase also wants to know what happens after Born to Run. What will happen to John in his new future? Will he become a leader? Will he develop a relationship with Allison? Will he get Cameron's chip and return to the Zeira Corp basement to save her body? And what will happen to Sarah?

I think that is what the third season is needed for. The prequel movie will possibly rise up interest to the series and we just need to keep fighting for continuation of our show.

In my opinion you need to get broader audience for TSCC TV / DVD movie with:

1- A good movie that TSCC fans like (TSCC DVD + Blu Ray Market, Maybe 500k DVDs + Blu Rays)

2- A movie that Terminator Movie Fans can Enjoy and Understand ( Get about 10% to 20%of Terminator Movie Market, Maybe 600k DVD+ Blu Rays)

but no easy my friend

I will be happy with a prequel or End movie

I want a good end a lot but if I can get only a prequel; I will be happy too

DVD + Blu Ray sales forecast no solid, no carzy only WB have real numbers

peace

Yes!

"Prologue" would make the Movie understandable to both hardcore TSCC fans and newcomers from Terminatorverse. The plot will not set any limits on the audience in the movie theatres. This is important difference from Movie - continuation of TSCC.

"Prologue" is best money-maker also it's possibility to receive 3 season in the future. It’s my opinion.

VQsyl, thank!

Fans demand 3 season! Why? The team of TSCC scripwriters realized brilliant ideas. They will find not few the way to make fine history for «Prologue» and we too.
I am right? =)

If I got it right, the idea of the prequel is to show the events in the future, between sending T-800 in T2 and sending Cameron in TSCC pilot? I'm wondering, in this period of time, are there possible an adventures interesing enough to attract the new viewers to the TSCC story?? Do you find this valuable?

Sure. Try this:

There can be a story of a Resistance fighter sent back to try to convince Andy Goode's father to stop making the AI that becomes Skynet in T3. Andy's father had been working with Miles Dyson at Cyberdyne, but he was not killed in T2, and he got hired by another company to finish the Air Force project of making a Skynet.

Despite the Resistance fighter's pleas, Andy's father refuses to give up the project and must be killed. To try to protect and assure its own birth, Skynet sends back a terminator to defend him.

So it would be like a reverse T1, with the Resistance fighter trying to kill somebody and the terminator protecting him. We would see how another terminator (besides Cameron) would perform in a defensive role.

In the end, the Resistance fighter wins and Andy's father dies and does not create the Skynet of T3. This changes the future such that the story of T3 does not happen.

Andy's father's death leaves Andy's mother alone and devastated so Andy drops out of Caltech to support his mother. Andy has to get a job as a cell phone salesman. This gives Andy enough free time to make the first Turk, which wins the chess tournament, gets taken by the Air Force, and becomes the Skynet in the future of Cameron, Cromartie, and Jesse.

"Prologue". This is amazingly interesting for the audience.
As it is known, the authors of theatrical movie pictures are trying to keep limited number of sequels. Often this is trilogy. This apply to Terminator franchise as well, but we think, and our opinion proved by critics reviews, that truly worthy third part wasn’t Terminator 3: Rise Of Machines, it was later picture – WB produced TV show Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
To understand the reasons of such a state of things it is necessary to track the development of the Terminator universe.
Terminator 1 was a love story between Kyle and Sarah while they were fighting passionless machine, the only purpose of witch is it's mission.
Terminator 2 was a story about “father-son” relations between John and Terminator.
This movie already gives us an idea, that terminator isn’t just some killing machine. It opens question about perfection possibilities of it: can terminator be a part of family? The answer hasn’t been fully given, because terminator had to complete his mission and finally disappear, sacrificing himself.
Terminator: Sarah Connor Chronicles is a family drama which shows us relations between mother and son, who is becoming an adult. Also this is a story about relations between terminator-girl and future leader of mankind. She is something new and mysterious, he is a human, who has already seen terminators from good and bad sides......

..... The main question which series sets to viewer is – is there any limit to the self-perfection of the artificial intelligence – “…if they learn art… they become us…” – says Sarah Connor in one of the episodes, which is shown later: is it possible for a machine to love, have emotions, have its’ own will? And if an opportunity like this exists – will it be a new dawn or final decline?
Can you imagine story, which is more intrigue, beautiful and at the same time causes concern and hope?
In tandem T1, T2, T:SCC we can observe obvious quality growth of Terminator as a versatile machine, and also reaction of people’s characters on this.
In our opinion, the aforesaid concludes the basic part of New philosophy of Terminator verse, which is purposed by T:SCC. Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles – is an example of successful evolution, a finishing part of the trilogy, and is really born from brilliant plots and ideologies of two first parts, which we admir so much and which we deeply respects.
Ask yourself, does T3 and T4 have such a deep connection with James Cameron’s Terminator? Is the spirit of first two movies still there? Do these two movies make us empathize to main characters or do they make us think deep on raised social matters? The answer is obvious…
It is possible to think up almost an infinite number of ways for franchise continuation in direction Т5 but if they would be made like Т3-Т4, they would not be within the general evolution concept of Terminator Universe, thus – it is impossible to guarantee their success. T:SCC plot lines are already acknowledged by famous publishing houses, critics, spectators, fans of Terminator and a have received rank of worthy continuation of Т1 and Т2. These plots need to be used for shooting of a feature film and we are assured that "Prologue" - is the best option!

Hi! Again.
For the beginning I will notice, there is two way “prequel movie” and “continuation movie” and we can discuss about quality without end. But important to remember that much solves talent of a scripwriter and his understanding of the best features of TSCC.
For last months much has changed, but the following is constant always.The situation forces to be ask by a question himself on the true purpose of our actions. It's very sad, if purpose is to receive satisfaction from the following and it is probable last occurrence of TSCC on screens first of all. Truefan will not put personal interests above returning show his a life. Though dream haven't big chances. You clutch for an opportunity to prolong this history on principle or because you really love it and then there is no place to personal desires and fears to lose.
P.S. But as I said - much change. Now we wait for news about start shooting a TSCC continuation movie.
