A challenge to Enigma, talli and Orsino!
Apr 23 2010, 2:04 AM EDT
It is without a doubt that the 3 of you are some of the best TSCC fan fic writers here on the wiki. Don't get me wrong there are many great fan fic writers here on the wiki but I personally believe these 3 are my favorites. So I've had this idea for a few weeks rolling around in my head and I wanted to toss it out here to see what the other wiki members thought as well as the writers themselves. So here goes.Enigma, talli and Orsino, would the 3 of you ever consider working together on a join TSCC fan fic and releasing it to the fans here on the wiki? Personally I can't imagine how great the story the 3 of you could come up with let alone the complexity and gripping storyline and characters. Writers and fans alike should feel free to post their thoughts here and let us know what you think. Thanks to everyone who shares their thoughts on this interesting idea! Do you find this valuable?

the problem with that is they cant get together in person to write one story, and communication between the 3 would be tedious. However I have a idea, if we the fans or they the writerscome up with idea for the story, and then they each write a chapter taking turns. for example 1.enigma 2.talli 3.orsino 4.enigma 5.talli 6.orsino in each chapter the writer can take the story anywhere they want , and then the next writer has to pick up where they leave off , and then they can write anything they want, as long as it continues what the previous one has written. "the problem with that is they cant get together in person to write one story, and communication between the 3 would be tedious.I think every author would want to take pride in their own ideas. Every author has an agenda that they don't reveal to us, a vision of where they want the story to go. Very often it's not out of secrecy, but simply out of inconvenience. You would most likely want to finish your story first before you tell everyone your ideas. The trouble with taking turns to write chapters is that it's likely the story won't get anywhere because the authors have little idea what the others are going to write. There's no greater plot outside each chapter. If I'm going to be reading a story I can enjoy, there's going to have to be a common agenda. I would suggest the three authors get together and create a so-called "Expanded Universe." Whatever it is you want from a character or sub-plot, put it right out there on the table. You might still write a chapter each, but first agree on the greater plot. Do some brainstorming and throw some ideas at each other. Also agree on a common format. Maybe you could merge all your existing solo fan fictions into one (form a band lol). You can be the Fan Fiction Beatles. Write a crossover fan fiction for all your stories. It's likely, however, that the three you mentioned are all still writing their own stories. See who else might be interested. Do you find this valuable? |
