Possiblity of a coverup by FOX on sudden cancelation of TSCC?

Hey everyone, I am wondering if TSCC will come back as there will be a T5 movie comming out later this year (or next year) and with the extra money made by T5, FOX and WB might team up to bring back the series. Also, this might have been a plan on behalf of FOX to spark a upsurge in the intrest to bring the ratings for TSCC alot higher than the first time around by canceling the show without a proper ending or a final season.

So what do you think forum, is it possible FOX canceled TSCC to bring more veiwers upon a hopeful revival of the show?

Feel free to provide feedback on my hypothesis.

Sincerely,
Harris

I've never had the impression that networks canceled shows in order to improve their ratings on a comeback. And not that many shows actually return.

I thought TSCC was canceled mainly for economic reasons. I.e,, the ratings were too low.

I agree that the lack of "a proper ending or a final season" made the cancellation an even more unpopular decision (maybe that was part of Josh's plan to try to save the show), and apparently the network did not make (or announce) the decision until after the last episode was filmed.

The implication to me is that the show was truly on the edge, and the decision could have gone either way. Seeing the story end the way it did obviously did not sway them sufficiently to save the show.

Indeed the cancelation was based on economic reasons but you must also consider that many of these broadcasting companies have the backup of PHD'S in Phycology who are their to maximize earinings for the company. So, the cliffhanger might be placed in order to cause vewiers to tune into their channel more often to see updates about the show (until they claimed that it is canceled) and the rumors spreading around a direct-to-dvd or season 3 to come this fall also attribute to my hypothesis of them leaving the show suddenly in order to gain maximum profits.

I forgot the exact term of this effect, but it is used to train children to be responsible and behave, kinda like a grounding you get from your parents but in this case, for the general public for not bringing up profits of their show!

1) What are you talking about? Pacificor currently owns Terminator franchise and it's future is unknown. Nobody can say for sure when T5 will be released if it will be released at all.
2) Link or it did not happen :-) Yes, we all hope for a direct-to-dvd movie but this fall... That seems unbelievable.
