Interconnection between TSCC and Terminator 4
Jan 3 2010, 9:47 PM EST
Kyle Reese and Co went to an old gas station to get fuel. They got food - carrots for sure. In the root cellar we saw round fruit... apples and carrots? In one of Sarah's opening dialogues she talked about a cursed creature that was half human and half spirit. It was evil in its first life and was good, a protector, in its second life. This sounds like Marcus Wright. Do you find this valuable?

"Kyle Reese and Co went to an old gas station to get fuel. They got food - carrots for sure. In the root cellar we saw round fruit... apples and carrots?Good tie-ins there. I thought those might be potatoes, but apples would be nice, too. And at first I interpreted Sarah's story about the El Viejo Del Monte to be relating to Cromartie. He was, after all, part human and part endo terminator beast and he killed in a wanton manner without regard for the sanctity of life. Here's the monolog transcript from To the Lighthouse: "When John was a child the legends of the jungle were his fairy tales. His favorite was the story of El Viejo Del Monte. The old man of the forest. A merciless hunter who killed every animal in his path. El Viejo didn't eat his prey, he left it behind to rot in the soil. To teach him a lesson the gods turned him into a Simisco- half animal, half man. He was condemned to defend the jungle for all eternity. This was El Viejo's punishment, this was his curse. To forever be vigilant. To forever protect." After Cromartie was caught, he was converted into John Henry, who respected human life and who could eventually be installed in military systems to protect them against infiltration by hostile AIs like Kaliba AI. The monolog could also apply to Marcus particularly well, since Marcus really was made up of some real human parts, like his brain and heart. Marcus' parts were more authentically human than the converted terminators like Cromartie, Cameron, and Uncle Bob who all had no really originally human parts in them (that we know of). 1 out of 1 found this valuable. "To teach him a lesson the gods turned him into a Simisco- half animal, half man. He was condemned to defend the jungle for all eternity."It would be interesting if Marcus could be kept alive to return in T5 or T6, as has been speculated on this wiki in the past. Then the connection to the Simisco living "for all eternity" would be even stronger. Personally, I think all he needs is a heart, right? Surely, they could find a pump and use that for him. So much of his body is mechanical already anyhow. 1 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you? |
