Thanks to all who gave suggestions for our new community name! We've narrowed it down to 8 names and we'd like you to choose our new name! Vote through October 1st to determine our fate!

Can't say any of those were very impressive.

I voted for FATE. Seemed the best choice for hard core Terminator fans. Do you find this valuable?

I voted for T-Chronicles, but would have preferred that "Depot 37" was in the mix with the others.

I think it sucks ass that "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" got EIGHT votes, while everything else got either ONE vote (or TWO in the case of "Terminator Chronicles"), and STILL wasn't even included in this final vote.

Glad to see what was *vastly* the most popular opinion of the wiki doesn't count for squat when it doesn't fit with the agenda of a handful of mods.

Not that it'll matter (because if 26% of the last week's vote's results means nothing to you then who's going to give a rat's ass about little old me and my opinion?), I refuse to vote in this farce. 10  out of 16 found this valuable. Do you?

I can support this. Deadpool has a good point.

I didn't even realize there was a previous vote. Do you find this valuable?

Arg, with the name change will come a new banner. And it might include *shudder* T3/T4 elements.

It's a democratic process and all votes count whether your selection wins or not.

IMO, the mods were smart to reject "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" as a name, since the intent is to transition to a Terminator fan-site that is not TSCC specific.

I voted for F.A.T.E. (For All Terminator Enthusiasts) 4  out of 7 found this valuable. Do you?

The candidate is "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles". And I too find it impressive that democracy apparently works by ignoring the most popular candidate.

The thing is, some people here want the place to stay as it is. Focused on the show and only the show. But the admins ignore that and want to attempt to bring in people who may not even like the show. And they want to bring in something that many people here don't care about - the third and fourth movie.

This will change things. But not for the better. This place already has an issue with polarization. Now think: there are people here who don't like T3 and T4. The admins want to bring in supporters of T3 and T4. You don't need to think much to see the result: flamewars aplenty.


Edit@Scot: Yeah, but what if one doesn't agree with the intent? My reasons for not agreeing to it are in the lines above. 4  out of 4 found this valuable. Do you?

This site as it is now should remain in its own TSCC section after the change. I will spend the majority of my time there. I might venture out into the T1/T2 sections, but that's it.

I can't see myself spending time in a section of the site dedicated to sub-par wannabees of the first two films. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

Now that I stop and think about it; wouldn't changing the name to anything other than "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" be a surrender to our cancellation? 4  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

If you don't like the process, then change it, otherwise STFU (you and your posse can add that acronym to your wiki terms.)

Sorry to break this to you, Gusar. It gonna become a site for the Terminator Universe. That means ALL.

To argue that this site has polarization issues, is just beating dead horse already. Plus its just as polarizing to ignore everything else in this mythology, and only pay attention to the show which is now cancelled, and its FOX advertising on this site, pulled.

Flames are gonna happen, no matter what. They are stable in pretty much all message boards.
To sit there an bite your nails about the advent of new people, new flames, new wars, is just ridiculous.

Its not as though this J vs AJ vs Headey vs Glau vs Rambim vs The Mods vs Notty vs LG vs yada yada has done this site much good, Yet it has given us plenty of attention, and a lame anime movie.
