I believe that we can put enough separation into our film construct where the television show would be the television show and the film will be the film. But one could also argue that cannibalized Superman to some degree – with Smallville doing its thing. It's always witchcraft. It's guess work. It is unfair TSCC has million of fans in the world, TSCC world rating is like 15 million (current forescast), everybody in this wiki went to Terminator Salvation, if you enjoy a TV Show about star trek, you go to Star Trek movies..... I am pretty sure million watch Terminator Salvation just for TSCC. a Terminator movie with heavy weak points like Terminator Salvation is danger for terminator world; after Terminator Salvation million will think twice before go to other Terminator Movie I believe this WB / HALCYON need TSCC FANS if they want T5....They cannot lost costumer right now... RE: TSCC dangerous for Terminator Movies Aug 15 2009, 7:45 AM EDT I think McG was using the word "Dangerous" in a general sense, as in.......'ANY film with a TV series is in a dangerous position. Even without TSCC I would have gone to see T4, but I must say I much prefer TSCC to T4, and posibly T5,T6. But I will not prejudge T5 and T6 just yet. . Post reply Do you find this valuable?

The show and the movies do not need to follow each other , they just have to have some similarities . Same goes for Star Trek , Superman/Smallville , etc The stories use similar basic characters, but go off in different directions. Like McG also says , because the show and movies are related, the fans will go off and check out the movie or show. It is the fans that keep the franchises going , and keeps the movie studios and TV studios in the cash flow !! Trashing on form in favor of another is just bad , and he knows it . Besides we all know TSCC is a well written and acted show that expanded characters personalities beyond what any movie could do . If I had watched Serenity without watching Firefly , I would have missed out on a whole bunch of stuff !! Danger can be taken in a good sense . Post reply Do you find this valuable?

Some people go to T4 like me just for TSCC..... :-) " I can't speak for others but I know I solely watched T4 because of TSCC. T3 scared me away from the franchise. RE: TSCC dangerous for Terminator Movies Aug 15 2009, 1:49 PM EDT If McG meaned this "dangerous" that way, that TSCC just pulled people away from T-universe (=from Salvation), than it's only his poor excuse for his own incompetence in directing such a movies. That is what kinda dangerous he is thinking. McG, and all the current people on the t3-t4 movies need to go shove it and leave. Anyway, I pretty much was a fan of Terminator since the first movie (after T3 I pretty much forgot about it, until tscc came, which brought me back to this franchise, which is now my favorite!). Would have watched T4 notheless. Terminator was always good, and hopefully will always be good... (Though tssc > any T movies) Post reply Do you find this valuable?

Needless to say, I have lost all hope for a decent terminator film." well said LOl his reference to superman movie being hurt by smallville, the problem was like T-4 superman movie was just poorly thought out and made, smallville had no impact on it other than positive. however if a tv show is better than the movie, the problem isnt the tv show it is with the people making the movie. TSCC I think was better than T-4, much more intersting and a better cast. Post reply Do you find this valuable?

" agreed, the only thing is the franchise was purchased by 2 bozos , who had only produced 1 low budget comedy that never made it to theatres or dvd [[[ must have been bad ??]]] and yet they somehow aquire terminator and they know knothing about the movies , the fans, or even how to produce a good movie of any kind. they thought mcg was a good director for terminator, and his last movie was .........charlies angels LOL and it wasnt well recieved by CA fans then they hire some really bad writers, and we get T-4. hopefully they learned some things in all this and will dump the writers and mcg and get a whole new cast and crew for T-5. All in all had anyone read the chud.com article about the 'Project Angel' aspect of the script? the one where Marcus and Helena Bonham Carter have a face-to-face and where Carter is a machine like Marcus? Had that gone to film, the outcome would have been disastrous. Compared to what could have been T:S was great; compared to what I hoped for it was OK. Just a thought; sorry if it is a little OT. Yep > I was a fan of 1984's Terminator, T2, mildly liked T3 and am profoundly disappointed @ the cancellation of TSCC > it was the only show that I would ROUTINELY bend heaven and earth to catch on the 1st run (and do you know how difficult it is to find a parking space in my neighborhood?
