1. RE: would you kill andy goode?

"this is a two part questionYes, he should of been killed at the first sign. If they would of burned down his house and killed him it would have solved the problem of the new TURK computer being built and stolen. The first question and the second question are almost the same. So yes, i would kill him. Easy as that. Do you find this valuable? |

1) yes. absolutely. To save billions of lives, yes. It must have been extremely emotionally taxing on Derek though, since Andy was is good friend... he even referred to him as his brother.2) I'm assuming you mean kill him at the current time (post JDay) as a sort of retribution. The answer would be "No". Do you find this valuable? |

Yes. If it would stop J-Day, then I'd kill anyone... or at least try.No. What's done is done, and if killing him won't stop J-Day, then what's the point? (Assuming I were Derek) He was my best friend and a great resistance fighter. He has inside knowledge to how Skynet works. He's also a human being and on our side. Do you find this valuable? |

I like the Sarah's way to handle this situation: "just sit Andy down and tell him everything". If that worked for Miles Dyson, why wouldn't it work for Andy?

Strangely enough Andy Goode may end up saving humanity b/c by building the Turk II, it in turn allows John Henry to be created who can be used to defeat Skynet.

"this is a two part questionNo. How would killing him even stop JDay? You ask him to stop and show him the proof. Andy seemed like a great guy, really nice and trusting, and I don't doubt he would have stopped if he knew. I'd bet good money you could persuade him to be an ally and help stop it. Plus, he wasn't individually responsible. Andy's confession to Derek was a personal confession which focused on himself. There were many others on that team. And no, killing him because he was part of a team which led to JDay is pointless and unethical and immoral. How could he know a Skynet or whatever it was would nuke the world? You can't blame him for that because he never set out to build a genocidal AI. If he set out to build said genocidal AI, then yes, you can blame him. Do you find this valuable? |

NoYes ---- the chance is just a guess. Derek killed Andy thinking that would stop it but he didn't friggin listen to him. Andy said there was a group of people.. Andy wasn't the only reason... and stupid Derek killed Andy before he could find out who else was involved. There wasn't enough evidence and so Derek fucked up the future. All you who say "yes" would have done the same.. and jack up the future just as much. Do you find this valuable? |

Why would people kill him for causing JDay? He didn't go out and try and cause it.Even if he was tasked with building the AI for the military... so what? Who in their right mind would think the AI you're building is going to go all 1980s sci-fi cliche and kill everyone? The creation of Skynet in the original timeline was good idea, it just had some bad execution. Killing Andy or anyone associated with Skynet after JDay is murder. Do you find this valuable? |

A little OT: It's a good thing Sarah didn't kill Andy but decided to destroy the original Turk by burning his house down. By letting him live, she permitted him to make Turk 2, which became John Henry. And I believe John Henry becomes an important ally for the Resistance in the future.
