Just saw Terminator Salvation (No Spoilers)

I just saw Terminator Salvation. I am not going to post any spoilers and I hope no following comments do either. I saw the first showing at my local Cinema 20 Plex.

This is my own opinion. It was a good movie but I don't think it would have been the Super Block buster needed to boost TSCC chances for survival. After seeing the movie it is apparent that TSCC has zero connection to TSCC and I guess if there is a Cameron appearance it will have to pick up on the Marcus Wright continuance.

The acting was great especially Christian Bale and Moon Bloodgood. Be warned, you can't help but see TSCC Most Hated (LG) in Moon Bloodgood as Blair Williams. Kate Connor was a minor part and was "meh"..

It was really good to see the T-600 and T-800 finally back to being tough as a freight train and damn near unstoppable again. Shotguns don't do it in this timeline!

It's a great movie, go see it but it ain't gonna knock Star Trek off, I can tell you that.

I do not regret seeing, I am not complaining, it's good borderling on great, but it is not the Super Block Buster I was hoping for.

Yeah i agree the movie wouldnt have saved TSCC, it was one of the best thus far Do you find this valuable?

Yeah there is no connection and definitly it becomes apparent that TSCC was a completely different story with the same name. With the TSCC S2 ending it went not only worlds apart, but universes!

One of the reasons I guess I may have no considered T4 the "Super Block Buster" is because I felt no connection with this John Connor like I did with TSCC.

This may have been what WB/Halcycion was trying to prevent in the future by killing TSCC. Do you find this valuable?

well as I see it, and no i have not seen T salvation just yet, not out in denmark just yet. but how i see there could be a connection between T salvation and those there comes after(T5 and T6) is the the future they depict is actually the future were our Cammy came from, the one young John meets in New Mexico, they only need to depict Allison, could probably be very quickly done. by having Allsion show up. she is on some patrol, the patrol gets ambushed/outgunned by the machines, she an most of them survives and is held hostage, then mayby in the end of T5 the to be cammy can be taken by the resistance, she is reproed, and she tries to help the resistance the best she can, perhaps as a soldier, and then get to be kind of friends with John in T6, in the End of T6 we see the one T101 sent 1984, and LM to 1995, and Cam to 1997 Do you find this valuable?

When you see the movie you will understand why that is probably not happening. Go see the movie, its good. Do you find this valuable?

I'm surprised there was ever any belief that TSCC and T4 might interlock.

Any appearance of TSCC characters in the T4 timeline was only going to be the result of a "convergent evolution" of the timelines, and not an actual interaction between them. The makers of each made that clear. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree with you Deadpool, my point being a lot of people were deadset that the movie would have generated huge interest in TSCC. After seeing it, this simply isn't true and it works both ways. TSCC and T4 are no help to each other. TSCC only had the potential to confuse the movie base, which is the real money maker. Just my opinion. Do you find this valuable?

I imagine that if Cameron *were* to cameo, it would be in a scene where John finds her in a Skynet research lab. She'd be like she is in the TSCC posters with her guts hanging out and her eyes would open when he leans for a closer look. Something like that. Do you find this valuable?

if Summer has any sense she should stay away from the movies. They take place in different time lines hence why kate is still in the damn movie grhhhh. Tscc should remain not be tarnished by these movies if the make 2. Do you find this valuable?

From what I'm reading of the movie online it's pretty much a War Film with the Terminators.

Previous movies were road films with an unstoppable villian. Obviously you can't do that with a war story. Basically a war story is putting a group of characters you care about through hell and seeing who makes it to the end. I watch war films all the time and greatly enjoy them, but most critics don't these days. I have yet to see it, and I'm currently withholding judgment.

T4's budget is 140 million. WB wants over twice that from US, preferably 3 times. According to deadlinehollywood daily, the studio expects it to do in the neighborhood of 60-70 million for its opening weeked. We'll see what happens in later weeks, that's the key. Do you find this valuable?

i wont see it for another 2 weeks but the movie does look quite good. Not in tscc class though Do you find this valuable?

I have never really understood that arguement. I have watched and invested in TSCC, and I will go and see T4 knowing full well that they are two different products. I will apreciate them seperately for what they are. I really cannot see the confusion issue. Do they really have such a low respect for the intelect of thier fan base?

If that could be why they canned TSCC I will be even more pissed than I am now.

Just saying, is all.

well i think summer wanted to be in part 5 and mcg had talked to her about it be cool they could give her some part in it

i must say that mcg should have gained some respect now i know the critics dont understand the movie but now mcg shouldnt be the "charlies angel" guy anymore 0  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

I see the comments sort of evolving to what I am going to state, the JC seems so different because it is WarTIme, we see the space of 3 days AGAIN. The opening raid that Connor is on , everyone of his TEAM DIES ! That sets the mood / tone right there. This JC is not doing math homework or thinking about crunchy cheese puffs. But they are the same people, just 10 years away. The way Kyle acts in the movie is almost a glimpse of the way our JC acts, he makes mistakes. Marcus helps make him a better soldier in the few days they are together. Its a message. Do you find this valuable?

The confusion I am speaking of is maybe why I didn't see it as a Super Block Buster. I had no connection with the John Connor in T4. I think in facy possibly a little resentment for Kate. Both were fallout from TSCC.

Godfather, I think it will make its double mark. It's not going to beat Star Trek though. Do you find this valuable?
