How to Save T: SCC
May 18 2009, 5:21 PM EDT | Post edited: May 18 2009, 5:24 PM EDT
So I've been looking around and chatting and here is what I think our options are:

1. Beg
Likely Outcome: Nothing.

2. Mail Pancakes (A note "Season 3 or Closure" with a small pancake in a baggie)
Likely Outcome: Disgust? FOX impressed? Maybe- could do something. At least one show won't make it past midseason...

3. Mail Money with above (or similar) note
Likely Outcome: If people actually did it? In this economic climate- money speaks louder than words. The publicity possibilities with this plan are endless... More likely successful than anything else I've heard!

What do you think?

I'm way ahead of you, I already started mailing them money today. I am going to mail them some more money tommorow.

To make things easier, everyone could just mail me money and I will make sure the right person gets it. just email : DuesEx@SeeYouinCocomo.com. Large bills only please because it takes too long to count the small ones.

From what I gather, TSCC cost an estimated $2,000,000 per episode. A full 22 episode season would therefore be $44,000,000. It would require 1 million people to send $44 each to reach that. I am sure that there are enough fans worldwide. It IS an option, but it depends how many fans would be willing to send money to FOX or whoever to make a third season of TSCC and how much they could afford.

Maybe someone should e-mail FOX and ask if they actually would renew if we somehow saved up the money. If so, we could then set up a PayPal and save up.

Haha- funny. :) I think we're better off picking a specific person and mailing it ourselves. (This is in response to Deus Ex) 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Bare Minimum-

Put "Pancakes" at the end of every email you send to FOX or WB or Josh Friedman or anyone else who could possibly help- then they will know that we are United!!

If there is any possible chance of bringing this back, it would be through SciFi by way of WB. If this fanbase has any lasting momentum, the outcome could be similar to what happened with Firefly and Serenity. Do you find this valuable?

Many shows are now doing a webisode version now- this format would be easy to set up a pay per view fee to cover the cost of production. I belong to other sites that charge $5/month for access to their shows vie the net, in this era of technology and with a dedicated fan base that T:SCC has there is no excuse for this show to end.
If anyone knows who to contact to push this forward email me- or post here I would gladly champion this or any idea to save this show.
The nice thing about the webisodes is it puts the collection process directly in the networks hands so that ppl would be more willing to pay knowing that the producers are receiving the money versus a 3rd party.

Get SciFi Channel to pick it up. It's a possibility as they've brought shows back from the dead and had success in the past.

Wasnt it so that Stargate became a success once there? (Too many episodes of that, but there cannot be too many Summers so no problem with TSCC)
