This show is a pop culture classic in the making. Keep it on the air, and you will not regret your decision. The creative team has built a great foundation for this show in the last two seasons- one which has the potential to keep people watching for many years. Don't give up on a good investment. All of us who love this show should take this time to write about why it has the potential to be a hugely popular, money-making classic. It is not enough to beg and plead on this forum- particularly not in a thread like this. These short-sighted executives don't take sc-fi seriously, they scorn the loyalty of the fans, they don't care about great mythos, insightful storytelling, historical, cultural value, etc. They care about money, moo-lah, dinero! So everybody, please help explain why the great qualities we see in this amazing show will translate into ratings success, advertising dollars, DVD sales, etc. Do you find this valuable? |

FOX-Consider that most of the blockbuster movies for the last several years have been based on sci-fi / fantasy / superhero stories. TERMINATOR is one of the most enduring, influential (and PROFITABLE) mythologies in this genre. Arnold's last movie, T3, was a disaster that almost ruined the franchise, but in just two seasons, SARAH CONNER has redeemed it. Like this show, in the first couple of seasons, Star Trek: The Next Generation was slow to win over old-time fans and catch on in pop culture, but it finally did, and proved to be a huge success. Do you find this valuable? |
