Hopefully, we can bring the thread below, into your thread here, LM. And, get started on a "Plan" for our "e-mail blitz" to FOX, etc, this week.

http://terminatorwiki.fox.com/thread/2804570/Today+is+the+day%2C+tonight+is+the+night%21+Join+the+finale+battle+for+S3%21

Let's try to make some points, here, about what should be in such e-mails -- so that we have a "unified voice" to FOX. Doesn't have to be pure "Form Letter"-type stuff -- just general ideas, themes, etc. Like maybe:

1). Move TSCC back to Monday, etc, -- anything *but* the "Kiss-of-Death" Friday night (or Saturday). See what happened to Prison Break.

2). Promote the Show more -- like tying-in to the "Salvation" movie; getting "stars" to do "low cost" guest appearances, as a tribute to the T-Series (Linda Hamilton, Arnold, Christian Bale, James Cameron, etc, etc); have tv and web media do stories, video promos on it.

3). How the maybe 150,000 strong "TSCC Army" -- can help promote the Show to get more viewers by:

a). Contacting all of our friends and asking them to watch TSCC (for at least 3-Eps).
b). Contacting media outlets and asking that they "review" the Show, etc.
c). Making and distributing posters in our home towns/cities.
d). Holding promotional/costume, etc Parades, all over the world (credits to KrelleK, for this idea).
e). Contacting "Tech-type" companies and asking them to advertise on TSCC.

4). Get worldwide web-viewing going to bring in all of our "overseas" viewers. Add "enhanced content," pay-per-view capabilities, and possibly country-targeted, world-wide advertising.

For timing: I vote we blitz on Wednesday. That gives FOX time to get these, read 'em, and use over the weekend to help make their decision to renew TSCC for Season 3.

Yeah, let's narrow it down for the big blitz. In the mean time, I think we should all continue to send letters on our own. I'm planning on emailing one letter to Fox each day of this week, including the big blitz on Friday. I also sent letters to WB and Halcyon again today.

Options 3 and 4 I think work well. But I doubt that we should tell them what night to put the show on. If they are at the point of cancelling this show, I don't think they'd ever consider getting us a Monday spot. We'd probably be lucky to have a Saturday spot.

As for option 2, I think that even bringing in those stars would be too costly, even for short bits. They aren't going to want to spend that kind of money on a show with such low ratings.

Well, we don't *really* know that they *are* thinking of canceling us. That's just been "hearsay" -- at the most. The media is well-known for creating "buzz" that later turns out to be untrue. They want *readers/viewers* -- so, heck, they'll "make-up" the "news," if necessary.

I say "go for it." Lobby for Monday -- or any day other than Fri/Sat. And, get us a spot where we're not up against some "killer" show -- like "Lost," etc (or, amazingly, "Ghost Whisperer").

On 2).: IMHO, there is a "pride of authorship" amongst these T-people. And, I think they want TSCC to be successful. So.. maybe "cameos," even, for cheap bucks. But.. the issue is -- regardless of the duration of their appearance -- the promotion of this indicates to people that those stars are "behind" us. Gets John Q. Public to watch TSCC.

Here is the album with motivational posters for renewal on it: http://terminatorwiki.fox.com/photos/album/104994/Motivational+posters+for+TSCC+renewal

and here is the thread with motivational posters for renewal: http://terminatorwiki.fox.com/thread/2803873/Motvational+posters+to+Fox+for+TSCC+renewal!?offset=40&maxResults=20

I think it would be cool if we attached at least one motivational poster to each one of our e-mails.

This article (link below) is interesting -- about how FOX's "American Idol" is losing viewership every year, but growing more profitable, too.

Maybe we should send this link to FOX and say that such things could apply to TSCC, too -- esp with our very large, avid fan-base.

A quote from the article:

"...the whole industry is moving toward a different model where deciding whether something is a hit or not is not just based on how much you charge for 30 seconds of advertising.”

I don't know if this is good news or notbut I think it's worth posting it.

I just sent an email to all the mails available for Fox (like I've been doing since the season finale) and a couple of minutes ago I got a response:

"i will be out of the office today, may 11, with very limited email access. you can contact my office at 310.369.5962 or my assistant kottie kreischer at kottie.kreischer@fox.com. thanks."

Tthe title of the email said "Out of Office AutoReply" I know, but this measn they are in fact GETTING OUR EMAILS and that somebody in that office is READING THEM!!!

SO DON'T STOP SENDING THEM!!! KEEP FIGHTING!!!!

Wait.......

(this is a re-post fromt he 'Join..... ' thread)

Nothing wrong with an email, but I personally think 1 email from each person is enough. More than that I believe could do more harm than good. I also don't agree with people using the email lists of Fox employees. There is one email address that matters (has been posted many times) for Fox, and one for WB.

If Fox are 'hounded' by emails, especially if it is seen as similar to spam, they may simply get fed up with T:SCC and its fans. Just PLEASE be careful everyone.

The people in Fox that matter here, if there is a decision to be made, will see this thread and others like it. Support for T:SCC is clear. Lets get 100 pages in the 'Join the Campaign' thread (link at bottom). Not hound Fox and its employees and risk creating a negative for T:SCC.

If you were Fox, would you want the hassle of deleting loads of emails from the same people over and over again? It could do more harm than good.

I really believe that if FOX puts TSCC on Sunday nights at 8 pm numbers will improve.

I love this show and hope we get more.

Thanks,

Zad

You have a good point. I try to use a new email address each time, with a slightly different signture, so it doesn't blatantly look like one person keeps sending messages.

You're very right though. Too many emails may do more harm than good.

Yeah that's fine but mikeaja is totally wrong in his reasoning. ask@fox.com probably gets thousands of e-mails every day anyway and they wont read ur one e-mail, it will just go to spam. If we send mass e-mails they have to notice. Also, they will know that if they cancel the show they can expect an influx of hate mail for weeks.

Also a good point. I would say however, that if we are sending multiple emails this week, try using different email addresses. I am signing up for a new email account with almost each email I send to fox.

TSCC is not dead until FOX and WB say it's dead.

I know that renewal is unlikely, but I've still sent an e-mail and signed one of the petitions. At this point, it just seems like a defeatist attitude will do more harm than good.

My re-post (some new) to mikeaja, from "Join..." thread.

@mikeaja: You speak wise words of counsel. We *certainly* don't want to alienate FOX (or anyone) with a rush of "pointless" e-mails -- esp from the *same* person.

Yet, they still need to hear from us -- on reasons why the Show should be renewed -- from an economic/money standpoint, for them -- FOX/WB/Halcyon.

These "final week e-mails" should be like an ending "exclamation mark" (!) to all the things we've been saying, for months.
Call it a "blitz," if you like -- or any other name. But, it needs to get done.
