Ratings for Prison Break= Good News for TSCC

DOLLHOUSE WASN'T ON LAST NIGHT -- SORRY FOR THE MISTAKE IN THE TITLE.

Prison Break was on at 8:00EDT (TSCC time slot) and 9:00EDT (Dollhouse time slot)

Ratings for Prison Break are out. Good news for us
8:00 EDT: Viewers: 2.68 million; 0.8
9:00 EDT: Viewers: 3.38 million; 1.2
(Dollhouse fans should rejoice as well since Prison Break got 25% less than what Dollhouse usually gets)

For the last few eps we drew a 1.3 demo.

They got lower than us so that helps prove that Fridays are a death zone and its not just TSCC. Plus Prison Break got some heavy promotion for its return this week, plus they are an established series with several seasons under its belt whereas we've only had one and a half.

Next week will offer the best comparison since the PB episode at 8:00 won't be a repeat, it won't be a "return episode" and Dollhouse will be back at 9:00 and we can see the lead-in PB offers.

Well it proves that the move to Friday night is responsible for the ratings. If we can see this now, then FOX sure as hell knows it too.

Chance of getting season 3 just went up.

As for Dollhouse, sry for the misleading title, the numbers aren't out yet but should be within the next few hours and I will update this post. "

I don't think characters in prison break conserved oil very well. They burned so much cheap oil that people got POed and stopped watching it. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

There was a Prison Break repeat on at 8 and an original episode on at 9. No Dollhouse. Do you find this valuable?

If the repeat outscored us we're doomed. So what number is that episode from? Do you find this valuable?

Was that figure for the repeat of PB that showed in our slot, for the new episode that showed in Dollhouse's slot, or an overall figure for both of them?

I'd be interested to see how each episode faired.

Not necessarily. Prison Break was expected to out-do us.

It was for Dollhouse's slot. They aired a repeat of Prison Break at 8pm. But, no numbers for it yet.

Hmm they went up against a repeat of Flashpoint at 9pm. I'm guessing the numbers were Live+SD?

By comparison Dollhouse was 1.4/3.56, Flashpoint was a new episode (IIRC).

"'Prison Break' return disappoints

Prison break Maybe Fox should renew Dollhouse after all.

Despite significant promotion, Prison Break returned Friday night and received a disappointingly low rating.

The launch of the veteran Fox drama's final episodes was seen by 3.4 million viewers and drew a 1.2 preliminary adults 18-49 rating.

That's below the time period average of Dollhouse (-25%) in same hour, and comes despite usual night-leader CBS airing repeats. The performance helps reiterate how tough this time period is for male-friendly action dramas. An encore of Break warmed up the night.

The comparitive weakness of Break isn't necessarily good news for Dollhouse fans, however. Break will shift to 8 p.m. and serve as the Dollhouse lead in next week and Joss Whedon's drama could use a push."

With all the promotion and hype and puts worse numbers than Terminator. I have nothing against Prison Breal, the first season is great, but those numbers help Terminator a lot.

SEE THAT FOX, put the show you want in Friday, it will put the same sucking ratings.

Me too. Richard Hack over at tvbythenumbers is already drooling at the prospect of a PB rerun outscoring our season finale. I really hope that doesn't happen.

That idiot is insane.

Ideally I'd love for the repeat to get HIGHER ratings than the new episode, but lower ratings than us.
If the repeat got higher, but the new one got lower ratings (at a time when more people watch TV) then I'd laugh because it'd imply people got bored and tuned out of PB.

I'll still settle for it just getting less than us.
