Marcus Wright = First Psycotic Terminator?
Apr 2 2009, 5:03 PM EDT
in Marcus wrights background info it says that he was on death row and thats all he remembers.so if you think about it the only people that are put on death row are Seriel killers. So what if Skynet put the mind of a psycotic mass murder inside of a indestructible T-700 body? the answer - Marcus Wright. 0 out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

Actually its been confirmed that he was put on death row because he was wrongly accused of killing a cop. Either way, I can't wait to find out more about him. He's already become my favorite Terminator character just from the trailers. Do you find this valuable? |

"in Marcus wrights background info it says that he was on death row and thats all he remembers. The fact he has memories of being a man, is incredible ,,,,,,right? Thats the tech that might be within Cameron to some extent. The mapping of a human consciousness to a cyborg. At one point I had heard that Marcus had to have come from the future, his tech being small and integrated to mimic a human being MORE advanced than capable . Thats why t-600s are just huge clunky robots. Does anyone else remember hearing that theory, or subscribe to it. How can Marcus have such a small metal frame? 1 out of 1 found this valuable. The mapping of a human consciousness to a cyborg. From what I've heard, after he died his body was donated to Project Angel which was part of Skynet. Apparently his brain was implanted in a machine body, causing he to still believe he is human. I agree though that he most likely came from the future, but why would Skynet do something like that when they've already perfected the T-800? Do you find this valuable? |

I don't know if putting a psychotic's mind into a terminator would as effective as the regular terminator thought process. It might not be interested in some humans, it might only want to kill certain people. It could get to the point where it would go after Skynet's other creations.

Maybe humans on Connors side will use what they find in Marcus to fight skynet, but in doing so put more advanced machinery out their to copy....... Do you find this valuable? |

But with the T800 series, even though they look like humans, they're still very machine like in their actions. With Marcus..he can easily blend in. Not just because he looks human, but he really believes it. And to an extent, he actually is. Much easier for him to get close to his target. Do you find this valuable? |

The toys mark him as a T-700 prototype, but that might be an error. He doesn't seem to be made of coltan alloy though. Unless he's made out of something entirely different. It would be cool if his endoskeleton had regenerating properties. Do you find this valuable? |

Marcus is about the size of a T-800 though less bulky. He also seems to have metal "ribs" Do you find this valuable? |

the difference between the T-700 and T-800 is the mental programing.at least thats what i heard. T-700 is more human in look but not good for combat. Think endos like cameron's, more human. Do you find this valuable? |

"the difference between the T-700 and T-800 is the mental programing. The T-700 was just the stepping stone from T-600 to T-800. It basically began to shrink the size of the skeleton and try different ways of making them look human ie living tissue. That wasn't really perfected until the 800 though. I would have liked to have seen John Brolin play the part. He was McG's original choice for Marcus but he turned the offer down. Oh well. Seems like Worthington was a good choice though. "Which is why I think Marcus is simply an experimental one-off that occured somewhere between the T-700 and the T-800."I can see that. He also has real flesh, which didn't really come into play until the T-800. Guess we'll just have to wait until May 21st to find out. Do you find this valuable? |

From the look of the different endos Marcus' skeleton looks much more manueverable that the standard T-800 on TSCC we found out cameron was the first termy able to kick and stuff maybe marcus is from the same model. Not built as "tanks" that just wade through fire and overwhelm the target but a deep infiltrator made to be more manuverable and stealthy

How are McG and the writers going to explain Marcus' human memories? Theories seem about that seem to have changed since the movie was first announced.I suppose one way would be to put an actual human brain in the endoskeleton skull, but that would seem to defeat the whole purpose of a terminator. Another way, mentioned earlier, would be for Marcus to have been sent to 2018 from the future, where more advanced technology is used to transcribe human memories onto a digital template, but they've been down the future-to-past route so many times with John Connor that they might try something new. BTW, will the scenes with Helena Bonham Carter be set in 2018 or the past? Anyone have info... Do you find this valuable? |

"Guess we'll just have to wait until May 21st to find out. "Nah, the special effects studio responsible for taking care of the Wolverine film are also doing Terminator Salvation. Some moron or disgruntled employee (I hope it's the latter - much more loltastic) will probably leak that too. (I don't actually think it was somebody from Rising Sun Pictures who leaked XMOW, but it could have been...) Do you find this valuable? |

"I wouldn't watch if it was leaked and with most of the effects unfinished, that movie doesn't deserve that fate. Wolverine's Origins is a cheesy movie in which the only credible character is that of Wade Wilson, I respect Hugh Jackman but the role is very cheesy and lots of things were stripped down from the comics, at least from what I read and heard.
