Thomas Dekker is lousy actor i ever see in american tv history .. i hope director replace him with other guy .. he make john conor legacy out of history the actor with no emotion .. the rest of actor in terminator prefect acting ... just Thomas Dekker not worth to watch

He's actually portraying John pretty good. Because we all hate John's emo behavior at the time is another food for fishes.

Havent really seen him in anything else though...."He was good in Heroes, he had a small role which he left for TSCC but he played it great, I was almost starting to like Claire because of him. His role in Dr. House however...meh. 2 out of 3 found this valuable. Do you? |

You're a fine actor - it's just the writers who make you look like a total emo, spoiled, repressed, psycho-in-the-making! But really, isn't that the John Connor we all know and love? Aside from the soft, huggable portrayal of JC by Nick Stahl, Johnny C. has always been a dark character. 3 out of 4 found this valuable. Do you? |

The first time I saw Thomas Dekker was in 7th Heaven where he had a small part but he did it well. I think he's a great John Connor. It's the writers and how they are writing his character than make you not like him.

In the week I have been here, I have learned that not everyone will be so respectful, so don't get used to it. Please also consider that Thomas is reading this string...nothing preventing him from doing so, and nothing requires him to identify himself. For the sake of argument, I am going to assume you are not being forced to watch TSCC. The great thing about that is that you have the choice to turn it off. Unless you are currently a "Mega Star" like Christian Bale, you are a working actor/actress and you get hired to play a character written by other people and you do, say and behave how that character is written. We've seen that when the writers write John Connor to be smart, cool and a leader, Dekker plays it brilliantly so when the "character" was behaving in ways we didn't like it wasn't Dekker's fault, he was doing the best he could with the material they gave him.

Number one....TSCC has been cancelled so there won't be a director needing to replace anyone. Number two....Dekker was a fine John Connor. Just as great as any and better than most. I haven't seen Salvation but you cannot compare an adult John Connor to a teenage one. You have to remember that a teenage kid going through what this one was is bound to have an immense amount of angst and "emo". And, like someone said before, all the John Connors have been "dark" why would they be anything else, growing up as they have.
