I'm looking forward to it as well. Hopefully, some key background information about Cameron and her roll in this story is revealed.

It has to better, waaaaay better than tonight's NBC fiasco of Knight Rider. That was pure crap on a stick!! A 70 minute ad (not including the actual ads for Ford every 5 minutes) for Ford's Mustang. If K.R. gets picked up and Terminator is dropped, I will have officially lost all faith in TV execs. and their mental capacities.

I have to agree with you. Some of the dialog from the pilot was a bit corny and I hated--absolutely hated--the commercial interruptions. They broke the pacing and mood.

But the car.... loved the sounds it made, especially in the opening scenes when KITT escapes from the mansion and just powers past that semi, with no lights (except the scanning bars) and doing 100+ on a straightaway. The way that car moves reminds me of a Terminator; very fast, brutal and efficient. If KITT and Cameron ever met, they'd probably work very well together as a team and Sarah would probably forbid John from ever riding in it.

Another thing I liked was that some of the technology was more real-world. No exotic fuels or turbines (I'll admit, solar hybrid and nanotechnology is still a bit sci-fi-ish, but who knows?), and it actually can be damaged (and can quickly repair itself) unlike KITT's MBS, which was near-invulnverable whether the car was running or not.

I nave never had faith in those dill holes that pick and choose programming.... one of the main reasons I primarily watch Discovery, Comedy Central, FX, Spike, PPV, and History.....
TSCC is the ONLY series I watch.... I got into The Wire and Entourage... But because they take so long between seasons... Screw em...

I did catch KR by accedent... I was going through my available torrents this morning and saw it... So I DLd it just for Shits and giggles.... nostalgia... I have not even heard that they were going to do this show.... and to have David Hasselhoff do a cameo at the end.... LOL
Atleast they did mention the old Knight Industries Two Thousand being a Trans Am....

But you have to admit that comparing the acting and script on K.R. to even the weakest attempt on TSCC makes this Terminator show look like Chaucer or Shakespeare performed by the finest British actors.

I can't wait for 8 pm!!! Yeeehaw!

This shows you the lack of talent at NBC. They keep trying to bring back TV shows that are dead. I was flipping through the channels last night and T2 was on AMC so I watched that. ( I don't own the movie) Anyways the prviews for this episode look very interesting. I live on the east cost so I can't wait for 9pm. Do you find this valuable?

I still liked the car; then again, I'm a car guy.

The latest ep of SCC was pretty good. I'm starting to wonder what Cameron's intentions really are.

This show is getting better as attested in tonight's episode, but still needs to punch up the dialog and delivery a bit more than that. When it's a tense moment like the Terminators' encampment, it should exude tension and fear and dread, but I guess you can't have everything in a TV show. That's why they're TV writers and directors and not doing feature films (except for Josh, of course) that I know of.

I do like the red herring angle with what's going on with Cameron. I think they're trying to make you believe Cameron is not altogether good, but I think it's mainly the ol' self preservation thing kicking in and that's why she's hording parts. They talk about mortality a lot and that's probably got Cameron thinking: I don't want to die, I want to live.

Although, Derrick, I think we'll find, is far more devious than Cameron (even with the dramatic da da dumm moments or looks) and maybe more of a threat. It'll probably pit the Reeses against Cameron to see who can truly be trusted. Since the writers were hoping to have this show continue on with Cameron then I would assume Derrick's the one to watch out for.

Remember, the ONLY thing Cameron isn't telling the truth so far about is hording parts. She seems to be holding back on killing people, unlike Derrick.

Cameron is shown writing a grieving letter. She is in some ways becoming compassionate. Derrick could not show compassion and forgiveness to Andy and killed him in cold blood. Cameron didn't kill Charley, but scared him off on purpose for his own protection even though he knows their secret.

Also, John and Kyle keep Derrick out of the loop on very important missions. Maybe they didn't trust him either.

Another thing I thought of: it could be that Cameron did some pretty bad things before she was reprogrammed and part of her evolution is regret and redemption for those misdeeds. 2  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

I agree with wondering what Cameron's true intentions are after she told Sarah the 888 was totally destroyed, and pulled the chip out of her pocket.

I think Cameron keeping the chip is a red herring. I'm pretty sure she needs the chip in order to find the lost hand. Otherwise, what are the chances of her stumbling across the hand when the preview shows that it is in the possession of the FBI Agent Ellison?

Given her knowledge of a possible future, she is likely keeping parts of her mission to herself. Time travel and influencing future events can be as catastrophic as Skynet and Judgement Day; and have farther-reaching consequences--universal ones.

The 7th Doctor from Doctor Who was similar in ways to Cameron; the Doctor was secretive, manipulative (he talked a Dalek into killing itself), and somewhat dark.

I agree with Celtic; Cameron may be holding onto the chip only because she needs it to track down that T-888's hand, and will then destroy both.

Did not agree that it was a Great episode. Thought the future pieces were slow and not terribly interesting. The bit with the music room was pointless. The confession was ridiculous. Andy as a fighter... please. The secret wepon crap jet engine. Cmon folks.

Plus, the animosity of Sara, her ex, and Reese display to Cameron is getting old. Sure keep your guard up, but the pointless banter with her makes me cringe. The ex's "your a super scary robot bit".. what? All he saw her do was.. nothing but help. And Sara C. threatning her after, and the whole "I swear" stuff. Crap. Anyway parts I did like were, her saying she will find the hand and keeping the chip.

Here's a final thought, why not keep the 888 inactive, re-program his chip, surely Cameron has experience with that based on the episode, then use him to help. Seems completely plausible.

Except, reprogramming a Terminator may require hardware and software that Cameron doesn't have access to or can't build. Besides, the 888 is already known to police; he assaulted a police officer and later escaped.

As for Cameron and Sarah--if my loved one got freaked out by somebody that's still earning my trust, I wouldn't have acted any differently. But, it is getting old. We did get some more insight though.

Derek already traveled back in time... we were shown his memories. He remembered his friend Billy Wisher (the chess guy) on the floor when they were captured but in the present (Derek's future) he killed him.

Schmacky said it well.

Just remember, you can change the future, like in T1 Arnie changed the future for the three punks when he killed them and took their clothes and in T2 Sarah changed the future when she blew up Cyberdyne. Derek's memory of Andy Goode was from his own past which was in the old future, and the future was changed when Andy was killed after the chess match. There will be no Andy in the new future.
