Yeah the new John is no where near as cocky and badass as the 10 year-old John from T2 2  out of 2 found this valuable. Do you?

yep. they should of hired eddie for T3 because in T3 they should John steeling drugs at a pet store. Eddie would of been perfect for this role. Do you find this valuable?

As mentioned elsewhere, I think the T2 conclusion destroyed him inside, in a way. He never knew his real father, and his Sarah-proclaimed foster father toasted himself to protect him, next. What would be nice (and realistic) would be for him to explode with rage about the conclusion of T2. 1  out of 1 found this valuable. Do you?

true he never knew his father but hes mom told him all about Reese.John knows hes going to meet his father in the future so he couldnt really be to sad for not seeing his father in a young age. In the video game Terminator Dawn of fate Jonh treats Kyle like a son. its a switch but that makes up for lost time.I think john right now on the show should explode with rage because he is not doing anything to help his mom stop judgement because his mom is holding him back. so john should learn how to take charges as a man.

Seriously, the first thing I though when I saw t3 was.. why is John running away?? Shouldn't he be a badass after all that training?
Then he coudn't hold a job or talk tough, all that work from T2 by maing that preteen kid swear and win video games was a waste.
And this show should never go down the same path

Edward Furlong was the first choice until they learnt that he is a drug addict. There was no point in taking chances with him. Moreover, have you seen his latest pics? He does not have a personality (as a grown-up) to fill John Connor's shoes.

That sucks but true...if they would of waited a little longer before making T3 Eddie would of been prefect because I just saw the man resently on the new crow movie and he didnt look half bad for the role. Do you find this valuable?

John is a 15 year old kid who only has one thing in his life. His mom. She protects him as much as she can and he on the inside isn't quite ready to be a militant. He just wants what every single teen wants, to be normal and accepted. He isn't a 18 or 20 year old, he is 15 and doesn't know who he wants to be. He knows some time in the future he will be mankind's only hope but that is a long way off.

John will make a great inner journey over the course of this season and possibly next. This isn't the end of the story, this is just the beginning. It is a long long trip from average kid to leader of the resistance and you fellas and ladies need to know that.

And all this crap about "OMG They should have hired X actor to play Y character" isn't worth the few bytes that it takes up. If you can't see Lena as Sarah or Thomas as John then you are bringing too much of yourself into the story telling that Mr Friedman has wrote out for us. Nothing is about you, it is all about Sarah (it isn't the John Connor Chronicles...).

Dont worry Cameron said he is not the John she knew yet so just give it time and he will get facial scars, messy hair, a tough attitude, a pair of steel balls, a driver's permit, A GUN (never shot a gun in a film before), a girlfriend and mabe the respect of the people.

Hell I respect him more than that piece of shoot Nick Stahl from T3
And I believe in character development so there is a good chance he will make a great transformation within the next year

To TXXX,

I would find it interesting to see him grow more cold. His love of humanity ever present, but his emotions dim. His mind active and extremely proficient. A willingness to sacrifice others to further a goal. I would like to see him, not Cameron, destroy the machines after him. Eventually.

Unless john can get his hands on some serious hardware like a 50 cal big bear or a 20mm i don't see him taking down any terminator, there just isnt enough firepower in todays small arms to do it. Thats why Cameron is there. Do you find this valuable?

I thought this last episode provided us with a GREAT glimpse of that military leader. The end dialog with his Mom inthe kitchen provided me with this thought in our TERMINATOR Podcast Review notes:

"While a hero couldn't rise outside the high school gymnasium in time to save the girl and the day, a hero DOES rise and assert his desire to begin his role as a hero.

As far as John being able to handle himself, he took down his step-dad/moms old boyfriend pretty easy when he snuck into their old house. Do you find this valuable?

Agreed, I'm sick of hearing how John will do something great when the only person to do anything is his mom or some cyborgs (granted it was just T2 & T3, but T3 was so excessive. Like making John just run away from everyone)

He need to become hardcore like that

To TXXX,

He was, how to put it in T3? I thought he was not worthy of being a man. It was like, "Oh, the world is nuked, I uh, got to be the leader now" I would have thought Pee Wee Herman would have made a better John Conner.

Oh wait, as Mr. King said, he was sent back in time by Skynet as the Pervinator.

Suffice it to say, this John has potential, but he needs to have more arguments and start sticking his foot down. I then want to see
the Rambo we all know that is inside of him come out.

Not to mention if he does it enough and begins to grow like this my guess he will reach Camerons pre programed threshold and begin taking order from "this" john

Pyus,

I agree. Whatever that threshold is? I hope it's not age. LMAO.
