  • Terminator vs The Sarah Connor Chronicles The movie rocks, but the cameo appearance by Arnold schwarzenegger, as short as it was, connected the entire Terminator story. Too bad the "Sarah Connor Chronicles" series was "terminated" without a final episode tying up all its loose ends. I hope the next "T" movie does it...and include Cameron (Summer Glau) standing by John's side to tie both movie and TV series. I think we the fans are owed at least that much because we loved the entertaiment both venues provided...Just an opinion.

  • Producer: Don't Give Up On The Sarah Connor Chronicles!
"Ahh yes! I've been waiting ALLLLLL week for io9 to report about the billboard and they added a bonus by getting a quote from Middleton who btw, is our John Connor and spooky ninja!

It's such a good Saturday! Ya know, savethescc gets a lot of slack and hate from well.. haters about how we're giving fans false hope. I hate that. HATE it. What false hope? We're giving fans hope, real hope from what we've heard from our sources.. It's not false. And now this quote from Middleton proves it... no hope is false guys. We have a serious shot! We have REAL hope so keep fighting

    Join the Resistance!!

Schmacky, I loved the 1st sentence from io9: "Like the embattled resistance against Skynet, fans of Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles have refused to surrender."

And all we known who is our Sarah Connor, that never surrender! ;)

The Hollywood Reporter says that Garbage lead singer Shirley Manson has landed a regular role next season on Fox's "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles."

On "Sarah Connor," produced by Warner Bros. TV, Scottish musician Manson will play Catherine Weaver, the CEO of a cutting-edge high-tech company.

The sci-fi series, an offshoot from the "Terminator" feature franchise, is returning for a second season in the fall after launching in midseason as the highest-rated new scripted series of the 2007-08 season.

It stars Lena Headey as Sarah Connor, Thomas Dekker as her son John Connor and Summer Glau as terminator Cameron Phillips.

  • Josh Needs To Start Pitching A Sarah Connor Chronicles Video Game What C2 Pictures and Halcyon need to do is green light a Sarah Conner Chronicles video game. Josh would have a vehicle to (sort of) continue Season 3 and I'm sure the actors would want to do it if their schedules permit.

  • io9 Sarah Connor Chronicles Season 2 Plays Like A Novel
"Actually, I got the impressio that he no IDEA where the season endings was going or what it would be about. Again, this was the impression I got based upon what he said and how he said it. That may nt matter to anyone else, but it rasied a red flag for me - and one I didn't expect...

And Battle, my idea was that I thought it would be a good idea to use the new media like this wiki to recruit a panel of talented fans to be a beta test sounding board to get a feel for how given ideas might fly - like an on-call real time feeback unit. I am sure the legals could be worked out, , but it is NOT a "bad" idea. And I wanted to be a part of that? What fan here wouldn't? Including YOU?!
    "
    1. Your impression is wrong. You think JF worked on this show for as long as he did and never CONSIDERED where it was going? Really. Impossible.

    2. It's a PHENOMENALLY BAD IDEA for a number of reasons.
    A) There's a union that all writers have to be a member of to write for a show. It's called the WGA. If you are not a memeber, you cannot write for a show.
    B) How would the show pay you for your "ideas" that were bandied about? Oh, I see, you're cool with JF and Fox and WB et all making all the money off your ideas. They're called RESIDUALS. That's why there's a union, contracts, and a million other things in place.
FYI: try to submit a script unsoliceted anywhere in Hollywood. No one will read it because of the legal paramaters - unless you sign a release form. Again, it shows how much you don't know how stuff works. Or you live in fantasy land. I say both.

    C) Why would an already staffed crew take additional time to "Check In" on the friggin internet for approval? They already have to go through the Network and the Studio.

FYI: TSCC was originally titled The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Fox added the Terminator to the front - not Josh. Fact.

  • Terminator Showdown Thread Part 3: Ellen Ripley vs. Sarah Connor
"No, I'm not trying to cause trouble. I'm trying to cause LAUGHTER!

The purpose of this thread to provoke laughs at an idiotic comparison. These are 2 FICTIONAL CHARACTERS. Obviously you can't really compare the two. It's like saying The Enterprise beats A Star Destroyer or some such debate. The point is make ridiculous arguments and laugh about it.

And Tento, it's ALL of them. Ripley of any kind beats Sarah of any kind. There. Narrowed it down for you?"
Actually, as nerdy as this sounds, you CAN make the determination of whether the Enterprise would beat a Star Destroyer based on what the ships do in the movies and books.
Math and physics are our friends and let us quantify their feats.

With fictional characters you can do the same. It should be pretty obvious. If Ellen Ripley can put her fist through a bulkhead you can compare that to Sarah Connor's known displays of strength.

Ripley of Alien 4 was strong, but couldn't rip the legs off a terminator.

  • Calling all "Sarah Connor" fans Coming forth from the "Would you still watch T:SCC if Summer Glau wasn't on the show thread?", I was wondering how many of us watch the show because of Sarah Connor and/or Lena Headey.

I started out as a huge fan of the character Sarah Connor. And, I drove friends and family insane with my rants about Terminator 3 and the death of Sarah Connor. Later on, I renewed the rants when it turned out there was a series to be made with a new Sarah Connor, refusing to ever watch it. Luckily I took a friend's advice and watched the Pilot. Five minutes into it, I was sold. Now I am a huge Sarah Connor fan and Lena Headey fan, whom I had seen in different projects before but never had taken the time to look her info up on the internet.

So how many of us (SC - fans) are there on this wiki?

  • 10 Reasons NOT to Leave the Wiki! In light of all the people that have left the Wiki since T:SCC has been canceled, and all the spats and arguments that have caused these people leaving, here are 10 reasons everyone should STAY on this Wiki!

    1) This is the most active/most popular/ most up to date/ most content-laden site about T:SCC you will ever find
    2) For every troll there are at least 5 people on here that make over for their idiocy by a LARGE amount
    3) Where else can you find crazy threads such as the Guardians or Pick Up Lines?
    4) This is essentially the HQ and HUB of the T:SCC Resistance. Where else are you gonna find out what people are trying to do to save T:SCC?
    5) Where ELSE are you gonna be able to find the most passionate Jamerons/Anti-Jamerons? NO WHERE that's where! Shipper or Anti, you're guaranteed to love whichever faction you join and hopefully enjoy some FRIENDLY heated arguments.
    6) You'll meet some amazing friends here, guaranteed.
    7) You're also guaranteed to read/participate in some of the most interesting/deep discussions of T:SCC anywhere
    8) Where else can you let out your inner MEGA GEEKTASTIC T:SCC FAN? None of your family or friends watch T:SCC? Well this is where you find people to talk to!
    9) This is where T:SCC will be kept alive NO MATTER WHAT. If you leave, T:SCC will fade away!
    10) I (as in trigger_happy14) am here and if that ain't a reason to stay I DUNNO WHAT IS!

Again, I realize I have not posted as much since the cancellation and upsetting arguments have become more common, but I will NEVER leave this Wiki because I have been here from the beginning and it has allowed me to meet so many amazing people. This Wiki has had it's ups and downs, but I've had so many great times on here, there's no way I could simply cancel my account and forget about it.

So people who have left, we'll miss you, but...

  • Sarah Connor producer on how the show would have continued James Middleton, executive producer of Fox's Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, told SCI FI Wire that he remains passionate about continuing the story of the canceled series in another format, but does not want to get anybody's hopes up. Middleton had producing credits on both the series and the film Terminator Salvation.

"I feel like I don't want to raise anybody's expectations about what's going to happen with those characters," Middleton said in an exclusive phone interview Wednesday while promoting Terminator: The Machinima Series. "I can tell you that I love those characters. I use a business term, and it sort of belies my emotional investment in these characters, but they are a great franchise asset. My passion for them is not diminished at all, and I'll just leave it at that."

The season finale that became the series finale left fans intrigued about new possibilities. John Connor (Thomas Dekker) travels to the future, where familiar faces such as Derek Reese (Brian Austin Green) do not recognize him.

"It was a great way for us to end the season, but we would have liked to have continued," Middleton said. "There's no doubt about it. We liked making that show, and we all worked together really well, but the really great thing we can look back on is we've got 31 episodes of really good television. That's something we can be proud of forever. That's what we'll have to take away from it."

One theory about the ending is that by leaping to the future, John Connor never grew up to become the leader of the human resistance. That would free him of the burden of saving humanity.

  • John Connor's Dad I don't think the first movie will automatically clear things up for you. The short of it is, Adult John Connor sent Kyle Reese back though time to save his mom, Sarah. Kyle and Sarah meet and TA DA! John is concieved.

But... how did John send his father back through time, if he needed to be concieved first?

This is just one of the many paradoxes that the Terminator timeline creates. There are lots of theories on how these paradoxes work, but they're all pretty confusing!

  • the Cameron Phillips Chronicles
"I was wondering why 90% of the posts in this forum are about Cameron, or to put it differently: why viewers are so fascinated by her. Do you think this was planned by the producers? If not, then why did it happen? Do you think they have tried to correct this in season 2?

If this wasn't planned and it "just happened", do you think they will succeed in correcting this lack of balance?

If it had not been Summer Glau, who do you think would have been ideal to play this role, and do you think it would have had the same effect?

I am sincere in my questions... I would love to know what do you think.
    "
Have you ever heard of an actor stealing the show? Like Alan Alda stealing M*A*S*H from Wayne Rogers, Alyson Hannigan stealing American Pie, etc. Well, here we have Summer Glau. If it was planned, I don't know. But I somehow doubt it, considering the title is "Sarah Connor Chronicles".

Why it happened... One reason should be obvious - Summer is hot. Reasons two and three are what alienrobot and Jalex002 said. The "machine learning to become human" is what fascinates me the most. Then there's Summer's portrayal of Cameron - the delivery of her lines, the tone of her voice, the facial expressions... it's simply amazing.

The only other actress I know that could pull off Cameron like that is Amy Acker. Amy and Summer are similar in more than one way - both are Texan, both have a history of ballet, both can do the instant blank stare->full emotion switch (Amy did it as Fred/Ilyria on Angel). They even look somewhat similar. Oh and both have a Saturn Award. The only problem for Amy, she is probably too old to play a high school teenager. I can't say any other names, because quite honestly I can't picture Cameron being played by anyone else but Summer.

As for "correcting" this in Season 2... From the looks of Season 2 Promos and the producers talking about "triangles", the answer seems to be 'no'.

  • Cameron vs Kate Connor The only part of T3 I liked was the T1 robots. They were cool.

The rest was just trying to rehash what was done in T2. Examples include...

Arnie in the bar - lame attempt to be funny.
Car chase - staple part of Terminator, yet they made it way too big and focussed on the special effects rather than the tension.
TX - simply trying to make something tougher than the T-1000. T-1000 would kick TX's ass 6 ways from sunday.
Cemetary shootout - had none of the heart of the T2 minigun scene at all.

And Kate Brewster was only introduced in T3 because Linda Hamilton refused to play Sarah Connor in it. They thouht if they can't have John's mother, they'd give him a love interest instead. She sucked.

In closing, Cameron all the way!

  • Ideal ending to Terminator In fleshing this idea out I had another idea of after John (and maybe their child) has died of old age or other circumstances due to their continued struggles (as an epilogue) you see a row of graves at night that mark where Sarah, Ellison, John, and maybe John/Cam's child are buried (you don't see to whom they belong to at first). The background landscape has a slightly more futuristic vibe to it, though the graves are in a remote area.

You see a solitary figure approach the grave sites from out of the shadows, wind whipping the figure's long, flowing hair about its face. Some dim lights finally reveal the face of an unaging Cameron, still as radiant and lovely as ever. She stoops to place a single red rose at the base of each of the grave markers and then stands up.

Cameron is crying with pain and loss clearly reflected in her eyes; heavy tears streaking her pale cheeks (you can tell she is trying hard to keep her composure, to not succumb to the emotions flooding through her). She stands there staring at the graves for a moment, and then turns and slowly fades back into the shadows and out of sight.

The names on the graves are finally revealed:

    Sarah Reese Ellison
    "Mother To Us All"
and slightly smaller, from Cameron (added later):
    "Thank You For Explaining"

    James Ellison
    "Beloved Husband and Father"
    and from Cameron:
    "He Believed"

    John Connor Reese
    "No Fate"
and a personal message from Cameron:
    "We Are One, Always"

Melody Sarah Reese [adopted, of course]
    "Our Precious Daughter, Our Life"
    and personally from Cameron:
    "You Are My Heartsong"

  • Speculation on Summer Glau Terminator I think some of you are reading too much into scientific AI stuff with the narrative. This is, after all, a fantasy world. If they want Terminators to become in many ways human, which was pointed out in big, bold letters not once but TWICE in Terminator 2, then they should be able to.

    1) The realization by Arnold about human emotion (he was evolving) and,

    2) The fact that Sarah Connor (and in a way James Cameron, since he was the writer and would know on what note to leave the movie on) stated "if a machine can learn the value of human life, maybe so can we."

If James Cameron thought Arnold's responses were just a fabricationor a ruse then he wouldn't have put the last, hopeful line in the movie.

The act of crying is an important human trait. If Cameron can eat, etc. and they say she's different from other Terminators, then that would be an easy assumption that not only can she cry, but she can have emotions.
