  • DID JOHN KILL SARKISSIAN (I posted this on the Samson and Delilah thread too, but I hope this answers your question...)

I think the answer to the "Did John or Sarah kill Sarkissian?" question lies in the song that was played throughout the whole intro. (i.e. Samson and Delilah as sung by Shirley Manson)

Ok, they didn't use this song for no reason. If you listen to the lyrics carefully and watch what scenes they come along with you'll notice a pattern in the story that is being told by the song and what is on screen.

Basically, if you know the biblical reference, John = Samson and Cameron = Delilah. The song HEAVILY implies that it was in fact JOHN who killed Sarkissian. If you notice during the slo-mo scenes when Cameron is climbing the stairs / beating up Sarkissian's goon, the lyrics recite the basic biblical story saying how Samson escaped from his chains (if you notice this is when John gets out of his binds) and KILLs A THOUSAND MEN. Also, it explains how he fought a Lion (who = Sarkissian) and killed him with his bare hands.

I think this pretty much proves that John DID in fact kill Sarkissian. If that isn't enough, pay attention to Sarah's attitude throughout the episode. Particularly the thermite scene, when John points the gun at her, Derek, and Charley. She actually looks SCARED. She even pushes Derek out of the way as if she KNOWS that he would do it. Meaning, she already knows he has it in him to kill.

And of course, we already established how Cameron is John's Delilah. She knows everything about him, she knows his weaknesses, what he'd do... So I think it fits to assume the rest of the Samson and Delilah reference would be applicable too right?

(if anyone didn't know Samson's strength was his HAIR in the biblical story and Delilah is the one who coerces him to remove it.)

  • New Blog Post by Josh Friedman
"See, this is one of your major misconceptions. Josh never signed One Check. WB signed the checks. And WB took half the profits.

Either FOX or WB could have replaced Friedman at any time. But they didn't, did they? And Why?

It's a cost/profit thing up and down the line. Once FOX knew they were going to make X Amount of Dollars, the writing was on the wall.

That's why, if you read what JF was saying in his blog, the cost/profit mode for Procedurals is so much safer, cost effective.

It's why something like TSCC is such a huge risk. Be thankful, man. Truthfully, it was a gift.

Gifts are tricky things. You don't have to accept the gift. Or like it. Or you could think it could have been better. But you don't have to make the gift-giver feel bad about it either.
    .

    "
Let's get a few things cleared up.

What JF got was a gift in being able to attach his name to a major - and one of the most successful - entertainment franchises EVER.

He brought some wonderful ideas and writing to the table, and I am thnkful for that. I've said that I liked and enjoyed the show - but you have denied that FOR me, so we'll move on...

You seem to MISS that maybe the show would have been a bigger success IF JF had actually MADE the sci fi action thriller everyone knew, wanted and expected.

The REAL risk was allowing someone with no mgmt and mktg exp to take the helm, and do something vastly "odd" without establishing the market OR the ability to make THAT work! The smarter thing to do would be to tap into avery single asset available and make a united, cohesive front to the world that Terminatar is here, is strong, bigger and badder than ever...meaning, it was READY and able to compete for the world's eyeballs again and be at the top of IT'S game on the small screen just as it did with the big.

To say to Metal not to mention McG is testimony to the stupidity that came out of the TSCC camp - led by JF - on the bigger picture of what the franchise means. In other words, you are not pimping what you HAVE correctly!

And the fans SUFFER for it. We don't GET the overall QUALITY of the product we WANT to have, bc of spintering and infighting. So some trash like Transformers two comes along and kicks our ass! Out show gets whacked!

And we are supposed to swallow the "JF had nothing to do with that" bs.

not saying he wasn't the only knuclehead in the mix. But he was the "head knucklehead in charge" of THIS fiasco. And he fumbled the ball and lost it. It took two years for the ball to drop. You say there was nothing that could be done about that. Poppycock! (My honest - and un-informed - opinion).
