"Ah, a Brazilian fan thread. Since I happen to be a fan of Brazilian music I guess that I can jump in here.

I’m glad to see your response in the forum. Some of us actually know that “Brazilian Portuguese” is the language of your country (lol).

I have been a fan of some of the great music that has come from your country for a long time. I was hooked on the collaborations of Stan Getz, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Joao Gilberto and of course Astrud Gilberto, known to many of us as the Queen of the Bossa Nova style of music.

Hiya Larry! Nice of you to stop by! You have no idea of how common it is when people start talking in Spanish just because i tell them that i'm brazilian hahah! It's very nice of them i know, but it's just not the right thing hahah!

I'm also very found of Bossa Nova, from old days like you mentioned to Sergio Mendes' latest album featuring many great artists from all over the world =) I think it's incredible to see how a music style changed so many things (from even japan's Pizzicato Five, that i also like exactly for their bossa nova sound), and it's now the one changed by people all around.

And to be very honest with you, that's the only type of brazilian music that i actually enjoy. Pop and Rock are ok, some nice hits here and there but i'm not fan of the other 'national' styles at all. I'm much more into international music i guess.
