Get ready for some cool animations and information for the XBOX 360, PS3 and PC game of 2009. What else can it be. Its got freaking Terminator as its subject! The End Begins... May 19The promotional website has this as the first info you get to see. The release date of the game of course... so for anyone that has the XBOX 360, PS3 consoles, or a PC (minimum hardware settings still unknown), its the perfect means to delve yourself into the future scenes, just two days prior to the official premiere of the Terminator 4: Salvation movie.New installment of Terminator mythology Set two years prior to the upcoming Terminator Salvation film, players will get the opportunity to be John Connor for the first time and continue the epic fiction of the Terminator mythology. Unrelenting intelligent robotic enemies Unrelenting and incredibly resilient iconic enemies from the Terminator franchise fight to the bitter end on land and in the sky. Designed to pursue the player by any means necessary, damaged or broken enemies will literally claw their way forward to inflict harm. Advanced destructible cover gameplay Terminator Salvation the videogame will incorporate advanced cover mechanics which allows players to use the destructible environment as protection and strategically navigate through enemy entrenched territory. The cover mechanic's multi- faceted design changes the way the "cover" gameplay is executed. Divere array of advanced weaponry The player has access to a wide array of weapons including shotguns, fully automatic machine guns, huge mounted weaponry, grenades, rocket-launchers and even a plasma firing Skynet tank. CharactersThe site also tells us a little bit more about the characters portrayed in the game. Some we know, but also new characters that enrich the already detailed Terminator saga. Check some of them out below... or for more details on the official gaming website.John Connor Once trained by his mother Sarah Connor to become the leader who will save humanity from Skynet he's now lost his belief and is a common soldier. But people tend to follow his lead and theres something stirring within him that might still restore the faith he needs. Blair Williams Blair has known Connor for a long time and she's one of the few who are familiar with his background. Lately as things have gone from bad to worse she's been provoking John into rising to the occasion. Annoying as it is he knows she has a point. Barnes Barnes is a survivor and one who has adapted to the way of the world. He's tired of hiding from Skynet and ready to strike back. Loyal and brave hés not frm the Resistance but he's exactly what they need. Angie Salter (new character!) Angie constantly suffers from stress trauma barely holding it together but desperately looking for a reason to. As she meets Connor she starts to snap out of it and follow him on his mission. T600 The T600 aka The Walker is also know as The Terminator and is a seemingly unbeatable enemy. Once the T600 has a designated target it will got to extreme lengths to kill it. Its dualfitted with a Gatling gun and grenade launcher which allow it to suppress squad members and kill its target at the same time. Skin Job The Skin Job is a T600 in disguise. Its body is covered with rags and rubber skin making it look human from afar. Since this model stays on the battlefield longer it often takes on damage more easily. Aerostats Also know as Flyers or Wasps, Aerostats are very difficult to destroy because they move so quickly. They are most dangerous in numbers. T-7-T The T-7-T aka The Spide is the games main enemy. Its heavy frontal shielding makes it resistant to fire but its battery pack on the back us unshielded for cooling purposes. |
