“Assistance Needed”
TEASER
EXT. AUTO SHOP - NIGHT
A Sign on the top reads: “Smith’s Auto.” Silence surrounds the small garage, adjoining office section, and parking lot.
The lights in the garage and office window go out. The outside lights stay on.
EXT. SMITH’S AUTO SHOP - NIGHT
A MAN, thirties, who wears an auto shop jumpsuit, steps out of the front door. He whistles as he locks it.
The Outdoor lights blink.
A mild wind blows empty cups and papers across the ground. The Man turns away from the door.
Sourceless BRIGHT WHITE ELECTRIC STREAMS dance in front of him. The streams CRACKLE as they form into a SPHERE OF ENERGY.
The Man backs up against the door and drops his keys.
BRIGHT WHITE LIGHT engulfs the area for a moment then vanishes with an EXPLOSIVE sound like a THUNDERCLAP.
The Sphere is gone. In it’s place, A TERMINATOR stands. He’s tall and thin, with balding hair.
MAN
What the hell?
Terminator glares at him.
TERMINATOR’S POV:
The digitalized scanner analyzes the Man’s clothing and a name badge that reads “SMITH.”
“Clothing appropriate.
Action: Terminate.
Acquire uniform.”
BACK TO SCENE
Terminator advances towards him. The Man bends down to pick up his keys.
MAN
Hey, that’s close enough you-
The Terminator grabs the Man’s head and snaps his neck.
EXT. STREET - NIGHT
An AMBULANCE drives ahead.
INT. AMBULANCE - NIGHT
The Emergency radio BEEPS.
VOICE ON RADIO (O.S.)
There’s some kind of electrical disturbance at Smith’s Auto.
Any available units please respond.
EXT. STREET - NIGHT
The ambulance accelerates. It’s EMERGENCY SIREN sounds.
EXT. SMITH’S AUTO SHOP - NIGHT
Terminator now wears the Man’s jumpsuit, he zips it up as the sound of EMERGENCY SIRENS grows closer and closer.
Terminator takes the Man’s keys, opens the door, and tosses the Man’s naked dead body inside.
EXT. SMITH’S AUTO SHOP - NIGHT
An AMBULANCE pulls into the shop and parks. Two male PARAMEDICS step out and walk to towards the door, where the Terminator stands.
PARAMEDIC 1
Hi, Mister...
He looks at the name badge.
PARAMEDIC 1
...Mister Smith? Got a report of some kind of electrical accident here.
Everything all right?
SMITH
Yes. Thank you for asking.
Smith punches the throats both of the Paramedics. The men collapse right to the ground, instantly dead.
Smith walks over to the ambulance.
INT. AMBULANCE - NIGHT
Smith steps inside and closes the door.
SMITH’S POV:
“Mission Objectives
1) Terminate John Connor
2) Locate ally to assist Termination.”
The words “Terminate John Connor” FLASH. The objectives disappear.
“John Connor
Known Aliases:
John Reese
John Baum.”
The words “John Baum” FLASH.
BACK TO SCENE.
Smith puts the key in the ignition, starts the car.
EXT. SMITH’S AUTO SHOP
The ambulance speeds away. It’s siren BLARES.
