I think that it is possible to defeat Skynet. John Connor was on the verge of defeating Skynet when Arnie was sent back to kill Sarah. Kyle told her that the Resistance had already "smashed Skynet's defense grid" and Skynet sent Arnie as one of its last desperate moves. I think in every story since then, it has seemed that the Resistance will beat Skynet in the future.

In T2, James Cameron had Sarah beat Skynet in the present time, seemingly avoiding Judgment Day as a result. Because the franchise had such popularity, all the sequels had to resurrect Skynet somehow and to renew the threat of Judgment Day. We saw this in T3, T4, and TSCC. Otherwise, there is no story.

Defeating Skynet in the present time is possible and avoiding Judgment Day is possible, amd this is the justification for much the effort the Connors have put out in TSCC. They believe it is possible. I believe it is possible too, but it cannot happen until the franchise is milked out and exhausted. So long as there is still a story to be told and money to be made from the Terminator, Skynet and Judgment Day must remain threats.

Specifically, in T3 and TSCC, we see that the advance of AI technology has made it possible for many different AIs to become Skynet. One way to block them would be to make John Henry or another human-friendly AI and have him occupy the key military command sites to prevent hostile AIs from infiltrating and becoming Skynet. This is possible. TSCC has given us both the problem and the solution. It just has not shown us the story of how it will happen. Too bad we're canceled.

Yeah, the new cartoon seems so.. tame. They always seem to be appeasing the censors, but..this is borderline toddler level. Come on, Wolverine has 6 adamantium claws. He cuts people the hell up. In this he'd probably slash someone, they go "Ooooowwww" and that's all."

Well, Iron Man did build his armour as a teen in Marvel's "second biggest" imprint (i.e. the "Ultimate Marvel Universe"), before growing up into the drunken, promiscuous superhero we all know and love.

That said, while I don't like the idea of a teenage Iron Man (it's almost as bad as a teenage 007 - which does exist as a series of books), that series (from what I've seen) is still plenty more mature than the "Super Hero Squad" show.
