1. RE: avatar
Jul 30 2010, 2:44 AM EDT
"where did your avatar come from?"Thanks for asking. My avatar is a common image for Grey Fox, a character in the PlayStation game Metal Gear. Here is a web page with the avatar image: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://files.abovetopsecret.com/uploads/ats50520_Grayfox.jpg&imgrefurl=http://www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread29336/pg1&usg=__GQn0fvdlAnMTAhZZwOwCBlPdpkc=&h=500&w=309&sz=20&hl=en&start=0&sig2=zZWWKevQ-bLETii4Ob-fDw&tbnid=s8cpNDrraEvJUM:&tbnh=118&tbnw=73&ei=FXFSTOaKN4T78AaVoISKAw&prev=/images%3Fq%3Dgrey%2Bfox%26um%3D1%26hl%3Den%26sa%3DN%26biw%3D1019%26bih%3D539%26tbs%3Disch:1&um=1&itbs=1&iact=hc&vpx=802&vpy=59&dur=3880&hovh=286&hovw=176&tx=64&ty=168&page=1&ndsp=18&ved=1t:429,r:5,s:0 My screen name, termi-ninja-tor, was created by inserting the word ninja into the word terminator. I just thought it would be a cool combination. After creating the screen name, I wanted an avatar that would be appropriate, so I googled "cyborg ninja." I discovered that the Metal Gear character known as Grey Fox is supposed to be a cyborg who is a ninja. A perfect fit! With this, I did an image search for Grey Fox and I found my avatar image almost right away. As you can see, it is a drawing, not a picture. There are other images on the web of Grey Fox in various poses apparently drawn by the same artist. (I should add that I briefly tried a number of other images first, including an image of AstroBoy, the Japanese robot boy cartoon character.) I hope this answers your question. Again, thanks for asking. |
