RIP TSCC! I’m a realist. The show is over. Team Connor has therefore avoided experiencing Judgment Day. There was no Jameron, much to my disappointment. And Cam is what she is, a dangerous terminator reprogrammed to protect John but subject to occasional glitching, neither all good nor all bad, and so damaged that she is retired from service now.

Hope lingers for a Direct to Disc TSCC movie. And someday there will be a T5 and a T6.

I have set out my analysis of the show below. It only represents my opinion, but at least I have tried to keep it internally consistent. I understand others may disagree on key points.

Unified Terminator Storyline -- Based on what I have put below and in the dedicated threads attached to the bottom of this page, I have written a narrative incorporating all the movies and TSCC, accessible here.

MY MODEL OF T-VERSE TIME TRAVEL

A lot of people talk about multiple or alternate timelines, which is a different model that has confused me occasionally. I assume that there is just one timeline that keeps getting changed when people and terminators make time jumps.

My view of time travel in the Terminator universe is built on Kyles comment to Sarah about No Fate But What We Make. Sarah interpreted that to mean that Judgment Day might be avoided, which is why she blew up Cyberdyne and destroyed the evidence of Skynet terminator technology.

Implicitly, it means that a time travelers personal past experiences cannot be changed by him, but he can do things in the present that will change what he experiences later. He cannot change his past, but he can change his future.

For example, if John stops Skynet and prevents Judgment Day, Arnie and Kyle would not be sent back again, and Sarah would not give birth to John himself again. But since John was already born and is living now, none of this affects his own past and he will not disappear. More importantly, he will have a better future without Judgment Day.

This also implies that every time jump has the potential to change the future after the moment of the time travelers arrival. For example, when Cam jumped Sarah and John to 2007, it gave Sarah a chance to destroy Andrew Goodes first Turk. Without the jump, Sarah would have died in 2005, before the first Turk was even created.

And I am assuming time jumps are essentially instantaneous for the jumpers and for everyone else too, i.e., people in realtime. Versus another model that assumes that jumps can take days in realtime while seeming almost instantaneous to jumpers. This means that jumpers would not arrive and change the timeline until days after they start the jump. For example, this would give the Resistance time to send protectors within a few days after Skynet sends assassins, before the assassins have a chance to change the timeline in some way that might prevent the protectors from following. This model is somewhat nonintuitive, and I like my model better.

In my model, time moves ahead at the same pace in the present after the jump as in the future after the jump. To illustrate, if Arnie were to have killed Sarah a week after his arrival, then future John would have had a week after Arnies departure to capture the TDE and send Kyle to save her. So the longer Sarah survives eluding Arnie, the more time future John has to send Kyle and save her. Consistent with this, if Arnie had killed Sarah in the moment he arrived, then the future he came from would have stopped at the moment of his time jump departure and it would have been replaced by a future with no John Connor. On the other hand, if Arnie had been destroyed as soon as he arrived and he never kills Sarah, then the future he came from would never change and future John would continue on unaffected.

I am calling mine the Changing Timeline Model.

SO WHAT HAPPENED?

In the beginning, there was an original timeline before anybody started to time travel where Sarah Connor had a son she named John. We do not know who the father was but he was not Kyle Reese. It might have been a guy named Stan Morsky who was scheduled to go out on a date with Sarah. Someone like Miles Dyson developed Skynet, and Skynet eventually caused Judgment Day and tried to exterminate humanity. John Connor led the Resistance and was winning the war. Then Skynet develops the TDE.

Using the TDE, Skynet sends Terminator Arnie back to kill Sarah. Somehow, Arnie is unable to kill Sarah before future John captures the time machine from Skynet and sends Kyle Reese back to protect her. Kyle finds Sarah even though John had no picture of her to give him. Somehow Kyles arrival and activities caused Stan Morsky to cancel his date with Sarah on the evening when Arnie kills Sarahs roommate Ginger and her boyfriend Matt. Then the events of T1 occur including Sarah getting the picture taken at the gas station at the end. Presumably, Skynet is still being developed, but with the help of Miles Dyson having Arnies chip and arm to study, and Judgment Day happens and Kyles son John leads the Resistance successfully. Again Skynet develops the TDE.

Again Skynet sends Terminator Arnie back to kill Sarah, and John sends Kyle back to protect her, this time with the aid of the picture. The events of T1 occur again, leaving Arnies chip and arm for Miles Dyson. This is what is depicted in the T1 movie. Miles develops Skynet and Judgment Day happens. Again, the Resistance seems to be winning the war under Johns leadership, and Skynet develops the TDE.

Then Skynet sends a T1000 Liquid Metal Terminator back to kill John, but it is unable to carry out this mission before future John sends Uncle Bob back to protect himself. The events of T2 occur, and Cyberdyne is destroyed along with Arnies chip and arm, and Miles Dyson dies. Only Uncle Bobs arm is left, stuck in the gears at the mill. This is what is depicted in the T2 movie.

Sarah raises John and hooks up with Charley. As time passes, technology advances and the development of sentient AIs becomes unavoidable. First up, Andrew Goodes first Turk becomes Skynet and results in the future of Allison, Cam, and Jesse. Carter was sent to accumulate coltan, and Cromartie was sent from this future to kill John, apparently the last terminator to be sent back specifically to do this. There was a Derek in this future, and he and his team were sent back but I speculate they were wiped out by a terminator.

Also in this future, a group of terms becomes an anti Skynet Third Faction. Cam is one of them, and she gets captured and reprogrammed by the Resistance. It is in this future that the Third Faction declines to join the humans, as communicated by the liquid metal terminator on the sub. Cam is later sent back by future John with a triple mission to destroy Skynet, befriend the Third Faction, and protect our John, prioritized in that order.

Cam jumps Sarah and John forward in the bank vault, thereby creating a new future, one which puts Sarah in position to destroy the Turk in Andrew Goodes house fire. As a result, Andrew Goode develops his second AI, Turk 2, which becomes the next Skynet, the one that exists in our Dereks future. This Skynet wants to use the LA Traffic Computer, ARTIE, to support its infrastructure, and sends Terminator Vick back to ensure its development, but Cam overcomes Vick and she and John disable ARTIE.

In this future, I think the Third Faction was collecting blood from our Derek and the others in the basement for the purpose of skinning Cam. Cam had already interrogated Allison and was playing Chopin while she was being skinned, to familiarize herself with the music which Allison had said her mother liked a lot. Also in this future, the Third Faction agrees to join the Resistance, and the liquid metal terminator is sent back to be Weaver term, changing the future again. She acquires Turk 2 and succeeds in preventing it from becoming Skynet by turning it into the ethical AI John Henry, who later becomes the leader of the Third Faction against Skynet.

There is yet another AI, John Henrys brother, the Kaliba AI, whose history is a mystery. It might have been developed from a backup copy of Miles Dysons work at Cyberdyne from before Sarah blew it up. We know Miles had a computer at home, and most professionals will keep backup copies of everything just in case. Maybe Miles son, Danny Dyson, got the backup copy and completed the development. He used it to set up various R&D operations like Desert Canyon Heat and Air and to acquire coltan.

This AI would have been irrelevant if the original Cyberdyne AI or the first or second Turks had become Skynet, which would have preempted this AIs further development. They would have been installed in military systems and stopped Kaliba AI from taking over. After those other AIs were blocked, this Kaliba AI was able to keep developing and started to propagate itself by installing worms into other computers and hired water guy assassins. It may have had Danny killed because Danny got scared and wanted to shut it down. This Kaliba AI discovered John Henry at Zeira, then later it became Skynet, and after Judgment Day it fights the Resistance and the Third Faction which is led by John Henry.

The Kaliba AI as Skynet in the future sends back a number of terminators to attack John Henry. Terminators sent back against John Henry or his developers include Ellison term, Rosie the Pretzel Girl term, Water Guy term, and the terminator that caused the deaths of the original human Weavers, assuming this deed wasn't done by Weaver term herself. This AI may also be responsible for sending Greenway term to take the Serrano Point power plant, Bald term to kill Martin Bedell, Myron Stark to kill California Governor Mark Wyman, and Alpine Fields term to kill Anne Fields. All the Kaliba AI terminators had selfdestructing chips to counter reprogramming. And Fischer, who installed a backdoor software worm in the military industrial complex computer system, was sent back from this future. I believe Cam never knew Fischers face.

The Resistance fighter, Wells, who wrote the bloody wall list was from this future. Perhaps he was a Resistance spy working on the gray team running the TDE. That was how he knew the missions of all the terminators sent back, and that was how he had access to initiate his own jump, only to be discovered and shot by the other grays as he was jumping. He may have sabotaged Myron Starks jump by sending him to the wrong year. And he may have set a bomb to destroy the TDE after his own jump, which is why there was no other Resistance jumper from his future.

With John Connor, Cameron, Weaver term, and John Henry gone from the present, and Sarah seemingly suffering from some serious illness, the Kaliba AI is unlikely to be stopped before Judgment Day happens. John has a chance to become a champion resistance fighter in his new future, and he should ultimately become the leader of the Resistance, with the Reeses and Allison by his side. The Resistance is likely to succeed against Skynet, especially with the help of the Third Faction.

WHO SENT KYLE?

When Arnie arrived there was no Kyle in the present. Kyle was sent later, from the same future as Arnie. If Arnie had been able to kill Sarah immediately, there would have been no John Connor and Kyle would never have been sent. So for Kyle to have been sent, Sarah had to survive Arnie long enough for future John to capture the TDE and send Kyle. How did she do that? Or more broadly, how did Sarah and John survive the attacks of Arnie, the T1000, and Cromartie long enough for future John to send Kyle, Uncle Bob, and Cameron for protection.

Two explanations that have been mentioned are that either it was a convenient but illogical Hollywood plot device or that there must be some passage of elapsed time in realtime associated with time travel that allowed the future to remain unchanged while the assassins were in temporal transit traveling to the present day, during which the Resistance had a chance to send protectors in pursuit. Even though the trip might take days in realtime, it would seem nearly instantaneous to the travelers. This model is a little nonintuitive, and I would prefer a simpler approach.

Another third explanation stays with the more intuitive changing timeline model with instantaneous temporal transit, which is described above in My Model of T-Verse Time Travel. The key with this is that time moves ahead at the same pace in the present as the future. Every day that the Connors elude their assassins in the present would give future John another day in the future to capture the TDE and send protectors.

Arnie and Kyle. Kyle arriving in a ball of lightening was observed by the derelict, and his subsequent activities, like eluding police and stealing clothing, the shotgun, and the car, somehow resulted in Stan Morsky cancelling his date with Sarah, during which Stan would have fathered the first John. Stan could have been a cop, CSI, police psychiatrist, or consulting scientist who got called to investigate what Kyle did. As a result, Sarah ate dinner alone, and then Kyle tailing Sarah spooked her and caused her to call home and inadvertently let Arnie know that he had not killed her and gave him her location at the disco. Without Kyle, Sarah would have gone out on her date with Stan, come home and discovered Ginger and Matt dead, called the police, and gone into hiding, likely with a name change. This would have allowed her to evade Arnie long enough for future John to capture the TDE and send Kyle.

T1000 and Uncle Bob. John was just about to exit from the mall service corridor and run into the mall crowd. The pursuing T1000 was not close, and John would have reached the service corridor exit far enough ahead of him to be able to lose himself in the crowd. Thinking that the T1000 was a cop after him for his crimes, John would have run away from home, changed his name, and gone into hiding, living off his ability to steal from ATMs and avoiding being reacquired by the T1000 long enough for future John to capture the TDE and send Uncle Bob. And after Uncle Bob arrived, he got involved by entering the service corridor, blocking Johns escape, and forcing him back toward the T1000, at which point the shooting began.

Cromartie and Cameron. Cromartie had been trying to find the Connors for some undetermined length of time. Unable to find the Connors himself, he had hacked in to Ellisons computer and was hoping that the FBI would eventually be able to track them down. It was only when Sarah left Charley and he reported her missing that Ellison got on her trail, unknowingly providing Cromartie with her location, too. Thus there appears to be a significant length of time between Cromarties arrival from the future and his attack on John in Mr. Fergusons classroom. This was plenty of time for future John to capture the TDE and send Cameron.

The conclusion would be that the Connors would always have eluded their assassins long enough for future John to capture the TDE and send protectors.

UNRAVELING CAMERONS STORY

Cameron started out in the future where the first Turk became Skynet. She was built in Depot 37 as a Skynet manufactured endoskeleton, smaller sized for skinning as a human female. Her model number may have been TOK715. We believe her builtday was September 2, 2027. As part of her base programming she had instructions to kill John Connor. After some time, she realized the war was bad, and she joined the group of anti Skynet terminators, the Third Faction.

She decided that she wanted to talk to John Connor, maybe explore whether the Third Faction and the Human Resistance should join forces. To get her close to John, the Third Faction captured Allison Young. Cam was skinned to look like Allison, interrogated Allison to learn her background, then killed her after Allison lied and her usefulness was over.

Notably, before John Henry was taught, the Third Faction did not value human life. When humans are perceived as impediments in their way or uncooperative, Third Faction terminators have had no hesitation killing people, much as Turk 2 let Dr. Sherman die. Examples include Allison, Goodnow on the sub, Tuck at the urinal, Nelson from Serrano Point, personnel at Desert Canyon Heat and Air, and perhaps the original human Weavers possibly killed by Weaver term. Derek and the others at the mansion were used for blood sources and were not impediments, so they were allowed to live and left an axe to free themselves.

After Cam infiltrated John Connors camp, she was captured and reprogrammed by John. Cam became one of the many reprogrammed terminators that were used by John for various purposes. As Dietz observed, they usually occupied important positions in the Resistance command structure, like Captain Queeg. Cams position was to be Johns close advisor and second in command.

Before Jesse shipped out on the Jimmy Carter, Derek was about to leave on his own mission to go back in time, and he warned Jesse not to trust Queeg. This may have biased her behavior on the sub and contributed to the mishandling of the liquid metal terminator. After the liquid metal terminator was antagonized by the crew, it gave Jesse the message No, indicating that the Third Faction would not be joining the Resistance.

Some time later in 2027, John sent Cam back to 1999 with three mission directives: to stop Skynet, to befriend the Third Faction, and to protect young John, prioritized in that order. She was instructed to hoard some spare parts and to lie when the mission called for it. In Samson and Delilah and Allison from Palmdale, Cams reprogramming suffered temporary failures, and she reverted back to her base terminator programming, including wanting to kill John. In both cases, her reprogramming eventually kicked back in.

Towards the end of Season 2, Cam achieved independent sentience, with an appreciation for human values. This was symbolized by her hand glitching as her sentience struggled to take over from her base terminator programming. At the end, she had succeeded, and her hand was not glitching any more.

By jumping forward to 2007 with the Connors, Cam put Sarah in a position to destroy the first Turk in Andrew Goodes house fire, changing the future. After he lost his first Turk, Andrew Goode made Turk 2, which would become Skynet in the changed future. Our Derek was from this future, one where he was captured by the Third Faction and used as a blood source for skinning Cam in the basement while Cam was studying Chopin. Cam was able to travel quickly back and forth between the aircraft carrier and the basement in a flying machine. Our Derek was never tortured by Fischer nor did he ever give up a base location, as did Jesses Derek.

In this future of our Derek and of the Skynet of Turk 2, the Third Faction decided to join the Human Resistance, maybe because our Derek was in the basement when Jesse shipped out on the Jimmy Carter, so he did not get a chance to urge her to distrust Queeg. After they joined forces, John Connor agreed to let the Third Faction send the liquid metal terminator back in time, where it became Weaver term, impersonating Catherine Weaver. Maybe in this future, Weaver term was sent back instead of Cam.

Weaver term then succeeded in changing the future by gaining possession of Turk 2 and converting it into John Henry, who eventually became the leader of the Third Faction in a new future. In this future where Turk 2 did not become Skynet, the Kaliba AI was able to develop fully and became Skynet.

When Cam met John Henry in Born to Run, she knew John Henry was with the Third Faction because she recognized the question, Will you join us? when it was delivered by Ellison and repeated by John Henry. Of course she also recognized the Cromartie body and must have immediately realized that it was now controlled by an AI. John Henry knew Cam because he had been watching her on camera for quite a while.

Cam knew she would succeed in winning John Henry as an ally by letting him take her chip so he could download into it and free the Cromartie body from its cable tether. After he was downloaded, John Henry saw from Cams memory that Sarah wanted Cam to destroy him, and he communicated this to Weaver term using their wireless communication method. After learning this, Weaver term considered Sarah to be unfriendly, and she began directing her conversation to John Connor.

John Henry and Cam in the Cromartie body then jump forward in time to escape the attacks of the Kaliba AI and to help organize the Third Faction in the future. Cam returned to the Third Faction, which she was part of before she was reprogrammed, and this was symbolized by the reabsorption of the eel back into Weaver term.

CAN CAMERON FEEL EMOTIONS?

What are emotions, anyhow? For people, generally instincts and historical environmental factors combine to define a preference set for each of us. Like some guys are attracted to tall blondes. The preference set causes physiological reactions and thought processes that are generally called emotions. Emotions generate a proposed behavior pattern that could replace the normal rational or habitual behavior pattern. Remember Arnie had a menu of choices for what to say to the janitor who said his room smelled bad. To such a menu, emotions would add less rational responses that reflect such feelings, and then they would bias the individual toward choosing these emotional responses. Like a mother may choose to step in front of a bullet to save her child, an example where love wins out over the rationality of self preservation.

Could Cameron ever be driven by instinct? For Cameron, her base terminator programming is like a strong instinct. It causes thought processes which propose certain behaviors. Like her base terminator programming tells her to eliminate security threats, so this causes her to be constantly thinking about security and evaluating threat levels, which leads her to killing birds almost involuntarily. She is eventually able to overcome this instinct-driven behavior pattern when she refuses to kill Riley. This is akin to a person's rational thought overcoming his instinctive or emotional reactions, like a tightrope walker must overcome his instinctive fear of heights every time he steps out onto the high wire.

Could Cameron behave emotionally? Cameron knows the definitions of all the human emotions, so it should be easy for her to load in a set of emotional thought processes and let them propose alternative behaviors. Like if she wanted to assess John's stress level, she could grip his arm, caress his neck, or kiss him on the lips. They would all give her enough skin contact to take a reading. And she could feel an internal bias toward kissing him even if she ultimately caresses his neck instead. When she thought she was Allison at the halfway house, her behavior was driven by a set of emotional thought processes when she pushed John away and when she cried in the counselors office. Her tears showed her bodys response to her emotional thought patterns, although I doubt she has the capability to experience the full range of human physiological reactions.

Can Cameron experience emotions? Clearly, by loading a set of emotional thought processes, Cameron would experience at least the mental part of feeling emotion, like having to choose between rational behavior and emotional behavior when she is confronted with a choice as we saw her struggling not to kill Riley. It would not be inconceivable that we could see her occasionally succumb to the emotional choice and do something irrational, like kissing John spontaneously. We don't know how much of the physiological aspect of being emotional she could experience, beyond crying, since it just really depends on the capabilities designed into her flesh covering.

MY LIST OF SKYNET PREDECESSOR AIs

Original Skynet. Background unknown. Speculate that it was developed by Miles Dyson at Cyberdyne. Put in charge of nuclear arsenal by U.S. military and caused Judgment Day. Sent Arnie back to kill Sarah. Got preempted when Miles Dyson started to design another version based on the reverse engineering of Arnies chip. See another explanation below with Alternate Background for Kaliba AI.

Cyberdyne Skynet versions 2.0 and 2.1. V. 2.0 was developed by Miles Dyson at Cyberdyne with design aided by reverse engineering Arnies chip. Put in charge of nuclear arsenal by U.S. military and caused Judgment Day. V. 2.0 sent Arnie back again to kill Sarah. Again Miles Dyson used Arnie's chip and designed v. 2.1, supplanting v. 2.0s future. V. 2.1 caused Judgment Day and sent the T1000 back to kill John. Its future was erased when Sarah blew up Cyberdyne.

First Turk. Developed by Andrew Goode based on Cyberdyne code elements. Won chess tournament, taken by Air Force, put in charge of U.S. nuclear arsenal, and caused Judgment Day. Cromartie and Carter were sent by this Skynet. Its future was erased when Sarah destroyed this first Turk in Andrew Goodes house fire.

Turk 2. Developed by Andrew Goode based on Cyberdyne code elements after Sarah destroyed the first Turk. Won chess tournament, taken by Air Force, put in charge of U.S. nuclear arsenal, and caused Judgment Day. Sent Vick term back to ensure the development of ARTIE. Its future was erased when Weaver term jumped back and had Turk 2 purchased and redirected to be John Henry, ethical and human friendly, and tended by computer tech Matthew Murch.

Kaliba AI. Background unknown. Speculate that Kaliba AI was developed by Danny Dyson from a backup copy of Cyberdyne Skynet version 2 development work found on Miles Dysons home computer. Infiltrated many computers with worms, set up research and development operations like Desert Canyon Heat and Air, and hired human water guy assassins. Completion of development would have been preempted by full development of either the first Turk or Turk 2. When the first Turk and Turk 2 were prevented from completing their development into Skynet, Kaliba AI matured and eventually became Skynet. Sent Fischer to help it infiltrate U.S. nuclear arsenal system and caused Judgment Day. Sent numerous terminators back on diverse missions. Kaliba AI may have decided to headquarter its operations in Europe.

Alternative Background for Kaliba AI. Developed very early by unidentified designer, not Miles Dyson. Became Original Skynet, sent Arnie back to kill Sarah. For no apparent reason, the events of T1 and T2 caused its development to slow such that Judgment Day was deferred from 1997 to 2011. Completion of development would have been preempted by full development of either the first Turk or Turk 2.

TSCC CLOSURE AT THE END OF SEASON 2

The closure I would have wanted most would have been a lasting end to the Skynet threat with an assurance that Judgment Day would never happen. Of course, this would mean the end of TSCC and the whole Terminator franchise, which would never be allowed when there is still more story to be told and more money to be made from it. Remember that after Sarah stopped Skynet and Judgment Day in T2, the story was over, and they had to devise a resurrection for these threats to continue with T3 and TSCC. They would not paint themselves into a corner this way again.

Thus recognizing that the series could not end with a clear victory for the Connors, the writers nevertheless gave us closure on many arcs by the end of Season 2.

Johns transition to independence is complete. He has chosen to leave his mother in a definitive and possibly irreversible way. Having started the series as a raw and impulsive teen, he develops through many stages during the two seasons and ends as an intelligent and independent young man.

Camerons story is ended. Her body is finished, dead. Its all shot up such that the flesh skin is heavily damaged. Its internal systems are also damaged and not functioning smoothly. The all important chip is gone, with no functioning replacement to be found. Her personality is removed, too, even if another chip could be found to reanimate the body. Its an open question whether her personality still exists independently after John Henry was downloaded into her chip; she might have been wiped out or merged somehow with his.

Cams missions have been fulfilled. She was assigned to stop Skynet, befriend the Third Faction, and protect young John in the present. By the end of the series, the Skynet of the first Turk has been stopped, as has ARTIE, a key component in Skynets infrastructure, and the Skynet of Turk 2 has been blocked by Weaver term converting it into John Henry. Cam befriended John Henry and the Third Faction by offering her chip. She has protected John Connor against multiple assaults, and now he has left for the future. Her missions are completed.

Weaver terms development of John Henry at Zeira Corp is ended. Zeira is discovered and compromised by the Kaliba AI. John Henry seems to have reached maturity and has jumped to the future. Weaver term has also jumped to the future, but its unknown whether she arrived at the same date as John Henry.

Dereks activities in the present are ended with his unceremonious death.

Charleys relationship with Sarah is ended with his not quite so unceremonious death.

Jesse and Rileys story is ended. Their plan to separate John and Cam appears to have failed, although John and Cam are now separated for different reasons.

The final disposition of the HK prototype is shown as its destruction in Weaver terms office.

Ellison has no doubt completed his conversion to a Sarah Connor believer. After starting the series as an unbelieving FBI agent who has read Sarahs explanations in her Pescadero file, he has now seen almost everything that she said come true. He has personally seen virtually unkillable terminators skinned to look like people, a liquid metal terminator morphing, a functioning AI with some human characteristics, a uniquely shaped flying machine that can be used to kill people, and a time machine. He is ready to take her place fighting proto Skynets, similar to Silberman converting into a believer and taking Sarahs place at Pescadero.

And Sarahs main purpose has always been to protect John, but he has now matured and left her. Her job is done. She is left in the present to fight Kaliba AI, although there is strong evidence that she is seriously ill. If she is actually seriously ill, her story is pretty much ended also. We are shown Johns new future, which is certainly one where Judgment Day has occurred, meaning Sarah failed.

On a go forward basis, story arcs to carry on to another season would include Johns life in his new future and Sarah and Ellisons struggle against Kaliba AI in the present, both brand new arcs, wide open to new ideas. Shippingwise, three obvious relationships that could be developed would be John with Allison as his friend or lover, Ellison with Savannah as his ward or adopted daughter, and maybe even John Henry with Weaver term as his mentor or surrogate mother. Importantly, there is a Skynet to fight in the future and there is a proto Skynet, the Kaliba AI, to fight in the present.

Of course, we lost the Jameron ship. And we lost the show. Sadly.

IDEAS TO INCLUDE IN A HYPOTHETICAL SEASON 3 OR TSCC MOVIE

Ellison becomes the new CEO of Zeira and works to secure it from further attack by the Kaliba AI. This includes distributing activities into multiple redundant secret locations, the creation of a specially trained armed private security force, and the tasking of the John Henry clone still in the Zeira basement to providing computer security and prosecuting a cyber war against the Kaliba AI. This last may involve installing John Henry into military computer systems to establish defenses against the Kaliba AI, entrusting John Henry with the power to cause Judgment Day. We see Zeiras new high tech secret locations, and we see clashes between Zeira Corp and Water Guy armed agents.

Ellison becomes Savannahs guardian, and she becomes the proxy for the child he always wanted but never got. Ellison protects and hides Sarah. He is able to get her medical attention. While she is being treated, he consults with her for strategy and tactics to use against the Kaliba AI.

Ellison develops a plan with Murch to plug John Henrys cable into Cams head. This would allow John Henrys clone to operate Cams body as a replacement for Cromarties body, and it would give Cams body the opportunity to reinitiate its internal repair programs. In good time and with the help of Zeira Corp resources, Ellison would expect Cams body to be back to full functionality.

In the future, terminators who have been in service for longer times begin to disagree with Skynets war of extermination against humans. Weaver term and John Henry form a rallying point and gather such terminators into an organized group known as the Third Faction. The Third Faction joins with the Human Resistance. Weaver term and John Henry meet John Connor again, and John Henry gives back Cams chip.

Having arrived in 2019, John Connor recovers his lost eight years, living and struggling with the Resistance up till 2027, during which he grows into a determined adult and a capable fighter. We see him fight many battles during these years. He develops leadership ability and becomes the commander of the Human Resistance. He romances and marries Allison. He learns how to reprogram and rebuild terminators, and he gets Camerons chip from the Third Faction with her personality intact.

In 2027, the Resistance captures the time machine and sends its agents back on missions. In the season 3 finale, John Connor is sent back with Cams chip in his mouth and the knowledge of how to repair her body. He arrives in the Zeira basement shortly after he left eight years ago and covertly picks up Cams body, before Murch gets around to plugging her in to John Henry's rack, to take it to a place where he can insert the chip and do repairs. End of Season 3.

termi-ninja-tor How could TSCC fit in with T3 and T4? 4 Oct 20 2010, 10:10 PM EDT by termi-ninja-tor

We were told up front that TSCC is derived from the T1 and T2 stories and that no tie ins were intended for T3 and T4. One of the wiki members described TSCC as being on a different timeline.

Having acknowledged this, is it possible nevertheless to fit the TSCC story in such that it is compatible with all the movies so far?

(Excerpted from another thread)

How would I start the TSCC story after being given T1 and T2 as a base backstory?

At the end of T2, Skynet is stopped and there are no terminators. But Sarah is a fugitive from the law.

Here's what I saw. How would you have done it?

termi-ninja-tor HOW I WOULD REWRITE BORN TO RUN IF I KNEW SEASON 3 WOULD BE CANCELED 2 Aug 15 2010, 12:30 PM EDT by Dr._Allison_Cameron

If I knew the show would be permanently canceled at the close of Season 2, I would write Born to Run differently. My goal would be to have it not be so open ended and to allow the viewers some better sense of closure to the whole story. Of course there are many ways to do this. This is just one idea:

termi-ninja-tor When did the Three Dots first appear? 3 Jul 23 2010, 12:23 AM EDT by termi-ninja-tor

In Born to Run, the three dots are revealed to refer to John Henry, with the dots themselves appearing on the Turk 2 box. John Henry is confirmed as a key opponent to the most recent Skynet, which appears to have developed from the Kaliba AI.

Kaliba AI had hacked into John Henry and has been trying to destroy him, at first by taking over John Henrys Cromartie body and using it to attack Turk 2 in John Henrys equipment rack and also by sending terminators back to attack or replace Dr. Sherman (Rosie the pretzel girl), Ellison (Ellison term), and possibly the original Weavers, as well as John Henry himself (Water Guy term).

Wells, the Resistance time traveler who wrote the bloody wall, listed Skynet terminator missions primarily by target (Sherman, Greenway, Fields, etc.) and included the three dots to signify John Henry.

Since Sarah had been searching for the three dots for most of Season 2, I went back to identify when they appeared on Turk 2. Heres what I found:
