Genuine Cheese Puffs
First Season Episode Sarah's Monologue Executive Producer Overlay Other Insights
1 A Mother may communicate her hopes and dreams to her son with pictures before it has a body.

Sarah talks about knowing her exits as the camera is on Charlie.
Charlie was overlayed with Executive Producers credits while he talks to Agent James Ellison about Sarah's identity...

At the end of the episode Sara is on TV nearly 8 years later. Agent Ellison has the news on but he is too busy with his popcorn to watch. Charlie is looking at Sarah as the very first one to recognize her after her time jump of 8 years.
Cameron smiles at John saying how his Mother raises him and at the announcement of going after Skynet.

After a couple brushes with death; John, Sarah are taken by Cameron to the future to hunt for Skynet to stop it "before it is born."

Cameron tries to tell John that he is safe, but John and Sarah say unison noone is ever safe.
2 Know thyself Sarah Conner was overlayed with Executive Producers...

At the end of the episode lt was revealed she died of cancer in the original timeline.
Proshipper clues: Cameron
is a cat person. John gave Cameron a diamond. Future John Conner used the "Hang in there Baby Poster".
The vivid green Chevy in the "gang" neighborhood was a ripoff of my custom Caprice paint job
3 If Sarah could go back to the developers of nuclear weapons would she kill them? Would she prevent the future of nuclear weapons? Sarah Conner was overlayed with "Executive Producers...

At the end of the episode the oncologist told Sarah that she shouldn't worry about the future...but prevent it.
Sarah struggled with killing her new aquaintence, Andy Goode, who built the Turk. Some of the software came to him in a dream.

Omage to Sim City when Agent Ellison was at the anti-skynet crime scene.

Sarah told Cameron that Sarah had the only right to decide who dies. Cameron tried a joke. Only John got it.
4 Prologue is about faces. Introduces the clay golem that was made to protect but ends up killing everyone. Epilogue with Cameron sinking the coltan is about different version with the clay golem saving everyone or being destroyed by its creators. Also compares our offspring to the golem that we don't know what they will do. An unnamed LA police officer and Agent Ellison were overlayed with the Executive Producers credits. Ellison was barely in the view.

Agent Ellison lost his only baby to an abortion and appears to be still desiring to raise a family.

He unsuccessfully tried to find the murderers. All he accomplished was giving his business card to Cromartie at the end of the episode.
We saw that John is impulsive and unpredictable. We saw that terminators can work with people and not just kill them on sight.

We learned that terminators display basic manners, esp "thank you": Cromartie, Cameron and Carter the Coltan mission terminator.

Cameron explicitly refers the to the "John that she know"s but defers to Sarah on judgement call - not letting John chase after the coltan.

The coltan that was used to harden Cameron's endoskeleton is lost in the Pacific. The timeline is changed.

John's hand shakes after the episode showing that his nerves were frayed by it.
5 Prologue started with learning chess isa great training for war.
Epilogue with chess is different than war: in chess the pieces cannot change sides (while camera was trained on Cameron). In human war soldiers can change sides. In was there is hope that enemies can become friends.
Executive Producers was overlayed onto Charlie....

John brought him back to save John's uncle's life after being shot by Vick at the end of the episode.
In autoshop a machine was calling for "Sarah".

Learning curves for both Cameron and Cromartie: Cameron learns about greiving, but plays back her voice for the counselor.

Cromartie tells Charlie that he never sleeps.

Cameron foreshadows her interogation of Allison from Palmdale on the counselor.

Derek's 1st words to Cameron "Metal bitch".

Agent Ellison saw Vick's hand stuck in the pavement.

Cameron marvels at Vick's chip when she pulls it.
She then tried to write a note to Vick as part of her mourning lesson.
6 Prologue Sarah described the horrors that Kyle told her were coming with Judgement Day and the machines. Plus Kyle left her with John and a box of items: hope.

Postlogue Sarah described how the machines killed, and they would not stop until they killed you. This was with the camera on Derek coming straight to Andy's house and killing him after he first arrived in 2007.
Executive Producers was overlayed on Kyle Reese.

We finally see Skynet gathering jet engines to power the time machine. We hear that John Conner stole the time machine from Skynet and use it to send Kyle back in time 20 years.

Then he sends the chosen four go back in time also at the end of the episode.
We see Cameron using her famous push to upset the terminator that went bad in the tunnel. This was used in other battles in the 1st Season.
It is pretty obvious that Derek was with Cameron in the basement. He has a fit with her when he is on the table. He recognized her in the control room.

Cameron burns up the exoskeleton but lies about Vick's chip. The hand is missing.

Opinion: not very much action but a creepier show.
7 Prologue:
Sarah said our souls separate us from the machines. Some of the prologue was narrative.

Postlogue: Sarah expounded more on the human soul and proposed that when the machines learn art then they will become us. They will have no need to kill us.
Credit overlays were in two separate groups. I lost track & had to review to find Cameron was overlayed with Executive Producers...

The show highlighted Derek's prejudice against her. She showed good infiltration methods with the Russians. But she showed absolute callousness about them getting killed.

Cameron learned "dance is the hidden language of the soul".

At the end of the episode Derek saw Cameron doing a very non-cyborg thing - dancing to the music for the benefit of noone. She did not know he was watching.
Among many plot lines the resident psychiatrist at Pescadero Sanitarium showed he was "insane" with believing in the terminators. He was convinced by Sarah and the terminators he saw.

The isolated cabin with the doctor was also used for Alpine fields.

Derek continued to heal and showed his prejudice against Cameron.

John starts showing reluctance to go get terminators, even just a hand.
8 Prologue: All of us wear masks... We trade honesty for companionship.

Postlogue:
"...We keep our heads down never bothering to look behind the mask, and in doing so we resign ourselves to terrible fates we can never see coming"
Morris, John and Cameron were overlayed with Executuve Producers...

We learned that Cameron lies and we know she fools people. Morris is totally clueless. John is deliberaately lied to. How much is he in the dark?

We also learned that Cameron's ship can be removed, used and replaced.

She was in ARTIE to plant a virus and she "saw everything."

Derek asked if she would come out of ARTIE.

Did she?
Cameron is liing to the Conners.

Vick performed a facade to fool the programmer for ARTIE to keep her on the job.

Derek did not tell Sarah that he killed Andy Goode.

Vick's chip hacking started with John saying how the memory had no organization. He asked how Cameron keeps any thing straight. We learned that ARTIE was critical for keeping track of massive amounts of visual information.

Opinion:
We see deliberately displayed parallel develpment between Vick and Cameron. We see both of them hovering over their cohuman countrparts at a keyboard. Vick has difficulty making conversation with his "wife". Cameron works at making "small talk" with John.
9 Sarah's prologue:
She lamented the loss of innocence. We would love to keep these innocent days forever for our children. But she knows they will not last forever.-JD

Postlogue:
Sarah takes a page from "Lord of the Flies"and tells a story of lost innocence.
Executive Producers Overlay was on a poser Sarkissian with Derek and Sarah looking at them.

At the end of the episode John shows Derek that the man they were trying to buy from was not Sarkissian.
We see the battle for the Turk as Sarah tries to buy it from Sarkissian.

We become primed to value innocence. Sarah threatens to kill Derek if he lies again. She is upset over him killing Andy Good. Derek checks with John that his mother has never killed anyone. The story starts in a park with white roses which symbolize American innocence. Derek has no innocence.

At a park adult Derek shows John young Derek Reese with his younger brother Kyle. We see Derek in his innocence.

The roses are pink at the pool Charlie and Agent Ellison get togetherl after Cromartie's slaughter.
Of course Cromartie spares Agent Ellison.

After the rapper says "the man that sits on the pale horse is death and hell followed with him", a car bomb blows up Cameron.

Second Season Episode
1

Cameron was overlayed with Executive Producers.

Most of the episode centered around her and it was revealed that she has free will. She also had to power to override her "Terminate" programming.
Riley hints about her future origin and knowledge of John with the toy robot and pretending not to sleep. She uses a totally off the wall expression for John's character "full of apples and carrots" that is foreign to this time period. She also quizzes John if he thinks about the future - trying to draw him out.

At the end of the episode Cameron and John commented about how Cameron was healing so much quicker than John. I believe this was symbolic that Cameron was healing from the "emotional" trauma of the episode better than John.
3
Executive Producers was overlayed on Michelle Dixon...

She was killed by Cromatartie's sabatogue of the phone tower. After bleeding out she died at the end of the episode.
Riley continues to hint with a baseball bat that she is from the future - post Judgement Day: She says that the world could end in 15 minutes, then carries it to it could happen any time to John. Riley talks up John's cat symbolism with calling him "Cat Fancy" then saying she doesn't even know his top ten catch post brands.

Cathy Weaver exposes her connection to Cromartie by calling Agent Ellison who gave Cromartie his card. Ellison was unlisted as he indicated with "how did you get my number".

Cromartie shows strategy learning skills with the mousetrap.
4
Executive Producers was overlayed on Sarah...

Revelation?

Sarah talks with Casey at the hospital and looks at babies in the nusery where she had her 3 points and turtles dream at the end of the episode.
So much information and art in one episode: There were 3 plots happening. Two were parallel. One was divided within itself.

We see Agent Ellison hooking up with CW to find one of those robots. She tells him she will take it apart piece by piece. CW - "do not ampromorphacize machines". CW showed no mouringing about her dead husband to Ellison. Just talked about the amzing helicoptor.

Ellison used his FBI contact (exwife) to checkout CW & Cyberdyne.

Introducing Savannah. Ellison admits lying about the FBI report with 20 dead.

Next plot is the Ist side of parallel plots: Casey almost giving birth to son. There is a nice transition from Casey to Cameron in the store with watermelons. Sounds meaningless?

The 3rd plot and other side of the parallel plot is the birth of Cameron. This plot was divided between the present and flashbacks to the future which were experiences that laid the groundwork for who Cameron is. Cameron's flashbacks took us back to the future when Allison was captured by Skynet.

Cameron's chip was going bad at the start of the show. Cameron was flashing back to images of Allison trying to escape. The camera clearly shows this was in Cameron's present Mind.

In the present Cameron needs to go to the store for Cheetos. The wobbly wheel illustrated her disfunction coming on. The stranger in the store clinched the problem with "are you allright?".

The Allison from Palmdale flashback continues with the laser tatoo on Allison's arm. Present day Cameron checks her arm and asks about scars.

Cameron's cash gets her an instant buddy in Jody. Cameron thinking she is AFP reacts like a little girl to the pimp & gives him all the cash. She showed her present day skill of covering fight scars with makeup.

AFP returns to future as she is running and being captured again. A guitar causes flashback to the interogation room. Her birthday is July 22nd.

Present day indication for lying to the terminator Cameron: Jody tells her to bs the counselor. AFP tells counselor humans "hunted to extinction". Direct flashing between AFP with Cameron and AFP with counselor. Scene with tiger, bear and monkey.

Present day AFP remembers her home phone number (why would Cameron interogate her on a number for a phone and house that do not exist?) calls her mother still carrying her and gets rejected. He mother likes the name.

John meets AFP/Cameron. Cameron throws him against wall. AFP meets Cameron in the flesh. Cameron tells her she does not want to kill all humans.

Cameron in present day tells counselor she is an infiltrator robot. She will "put John Conner's head on a pike for all to see." Obviously the letting humans live was all a ruse.

AFP/Cameron goes to Jody's parent's home to steal. Flashback with bracelets as pass to Conner's camp. Cameron probes Jody about her necklace.

AFP is killed by Cameron in flashback. Present day Cameron almost kills Jody. (Terminator music.)

John catches up with Cameron and takes her home. Cameron says ths is "my last get outa jail free". Cameron continues in lying mode with her necklace.
5
Executive Producer was overlayed on Agent Ellison so I gave him as much thought as he does to CW...

Agent Ellison is learning more about the "robots" under CW's authorization. While investigating the incident at the nuke plant he figures out there are two opposing robots. One opened, the other closed the valve. They fought.

CW also told him "There are no accidents". Last episode she talked about the helicopter accident that killed her husband.

Ellison told CW about the plant manager's nonconformance report and the inevitable NRC investigation. CW killed the manager and proved her model's anatomically correctness.

Opinion - since Andy Goode was killed by Derek, CW appeared from the future and is using Agent Ellison as the new Andy Goode assistant.

At the end of the episode CW tells Ellison about their common goal and remaking the world.
Two story lines: CW and Ellison and rescuing the Dridell boys. Not as intense an episode as the last two but it has it's action and good interaction.

Cameron shows her cluelessness by letting little Bidell watch his mother plead for his life and return on TV.

John Conner meets his young assistant Biddel and convinces him to stay in military school. Afterward Derek reveals that Bidell gives his life to save John from the Terminator's death camp.

This episode closes with the beautiful parallel reading of "The Wizard of Oz" while the terminator is stopped by John and Derek.
6 Sarah's prelude: Her father fought in wars and suffered an ailment that had no pills.

Sarahs postlude: in the 19th Century a psychiatrist gave a name to the disese of war veterans: nostoglia. For some war veterans there is no return to the past. There can be no innocence. They become violent and socially dysfunctional.
Executive Producer was Overlayed on Derek...

It was revealed at the end of the episode that Derek tried to kill himself. He hinted of the fact earlier in the episode by using a classical ploy of saying his friend nearly did. All of Derek's dysfunctionalness can be explained in his post traumatic syndrom. As was pointed out in "What He Beheld", Derek has no innocence. He has lost that part of his humanity.

What will this mean?
There were three independent story lines: 1) Catherine Weaver's work with the Turk, 2) the Conners work with Dr. Sherman and 3) Derek meeting Jesse. 1) and 2) came within a fraction of a second of crossing.

1) CW is struggling (but hardly aware of it) with her humanity and bumbling in her cover almost as badly as Cromartie. The "want to him" expression from the photographer's assistant strikes a major chord with her.

She precisely turns her head 1/4" and 1/2" at a time but cannot make a warm smile. She obviously did not perform a brain scan on the real Catherine Weaver and cannot recall any childhood memories.

CW has zero sense of humor, like her hired geeks, and cannot recognize the Turk's visual joke. (They communicate by images.)

She bristles at the suggestion of scrapping the Turk platform and starting over. She threatens to fire the team of geeks.

CW hires Dr. Sherman on a consulting basis. She shows severe oppressive control over Savannah with the tying her shoe laces ad naseum.

2) Parallel obsessive control comes out of Sarah's lips and body language at the
doctor's office.

Cameron planted a couple bugs in Dr. Sherman's office to try to keep track of John and spy on Dr. Sherman: at the doll house and behind the desk lamp by the couch. John turns off the one behind the lamp when he tries to talk to Dr. Sherman. Cameron then enters the building and has her classic fight with the prestzelator. When Cameron overpowered her the chip self destructed. This indicates Skynet stopped producing units that could be reprogrammed. The Pretzelator was a later model.

About John: he is seeking help. Sarah said "he is not suicidal". He killed Sarkissian. Dr. Sherman says he should be a kid.

3) Jesse was watching Derek and did not want to be caught. She ran like crazy from him then acted surprised and awkward when he caught her. She admits John Conner did not send her. She complains about all the metal that John Conner has captured and reprogrammed. John is making ground in capturing metal. Jesse hides her survellience photos from Derek.
7
Executive producers was overlaid on Cromartie...

At the end of the episode Cromartie is questioning the youngest brother that
Sarah spared to find the Conner's.
Three story lines progress in this episode: The Conners are robbed and they retrive their identities, diamonds and Camerons purple jacket. Cromartie is searching for the Conners. Ellison's copy terminator fails to kill him but gets him into jail.

At the start of the show Agent Ellison finds his erminator doppleganger at his door with a gun to kill him. Cromartie is behind his copy and deftly terminates the terminator. Cromartie tells him "Skynet does not believe in you like I do."

Ellison is arrested for the murder of the guy his copy terminator killed to get clothes.

Cromartie searches the neighborhood and ends up at the Conners house. John tried to run but Riley faces off with Cromartie and loses him.

CW meets Ellison at the jail and ask if there is something to tell her..something only she would believe. She said she would return. She plays him "What good
is faith if we don't use it."

The witness that fingured Ellison is questioned again. This time the issues of the crater in the street, Ellison appearing out of the air naked in the midst of blue light are recorded. The questioner brings up the energy bubble. He closes with "thank you for your assistance." The questioner was CW, who used the second round of answers to discredit the witness and spring Ellison.

At the Cyberdyne office CW asks Ellison about the incident again. Ellison tells her about the twin. CW calls it a test, like the test of Job. She continued with Job lost everything except his life, yet he did not rennounce God.

Opinion: this could be interpreted that Judgement day is still planned wherein Ellison would lose everything except his life. He would be expected to not rennounce CW.
8
Executive Producers Overlay is on Riley...

She reluctantly left before the heroes trapped Cromartie and stopped him.
The show starts in the evening from Sarah's perspective. Riley is leaving her house and John is staying. She tells to leave Riley if he loves her. She tells Cameron "John's not stupid." In the morning she tells Cameron he doesn't like the way John responds to her. Cameron leaves to stock the cache. Cromartie
captures Sarah but cannot find John.

Sarah regains conciousness in Cromartie's back seat as he is driving in Mexico. He chides her that she is losing her touch. He accuses Cameron of having "damage to her chip". Sarah tells Cromartie "this time I'm gonna kill you."
Sarah tries to escape from the car while Cromartie is driving. He captures her
and puts her in the truck.

The car stops and she hears a commotion, shouting and gunshots. The trunk opens and she sees Ellison and John without a gun. Continues with the others.

Starting in the same evening from Camerons' HUDpoint: after Riley leaves she takes off her jackets, invites herself into John's room and onto his bed. She has a little pillow talk about him being lonely and how he brings danger into Riley's life. John says "I'm not stupid."

He tells Cameron to be a happy machine.
Cameron says "I'm a machine. I can't be happy." In the morning she has a breif exchange with Sarah, and goes to restock the arms cache. She meets Dereck at the cache, who gets the emergency signal from John. Continues with the others.

John's story starts when he leaves his bed after Cameron leaves and calls to meet Riley. In the
morning he finds himself with Riley on a bus to Mexico. He shares they are
going to a town he lived in as a child. Riley asks if he asked his mom and asks
if this is a revenge fantasy.
In Mexico Riley says she does not like skulls and darkness. She says "I don't
like getting attached to people," and "you have a tell."

At a restaurant they are recognized by a photographer who tries to blackmail John. Riley steals the camera but gets captured by the police. John submits and they both go to jail. John calls Derek and leaves a distress signal. He tries to call Sarah but Cromartie picks up the phone. When John and Riley are in the cell Riley helps them escape. Story continues with the others.

Ellison's story starts with him jogging and getting a call from Agent Carlson that John has popped up in an arrest in Mexico. Ellison askes for an email of the
captured boy.

Ellison goes to Mexico and finds Cromartie killing most of the police department. He runs with John and Riley to escape in Cromartie's car.
Cromartie shoots at them but they go to a safe distance. John hears his mother in the truck and they stop.

Ellison tells Sarah "It's been watching me." "I owe you one..." for saving his life at the burning cabin. John tells Riley to run away. Riley tells John "I don't want to run away from you."

Derek's story starts in Mexico as he and Cameron arrive at the shot up town in
Mexico. He tells Cameron to stay under cover. She goes ahead and says "I
can't let anything happen to him." He gets a call from Sarah who is at the hotel
room.

Cromartie's story starts at the police station. He shoots almost everyone but
John has already escaped. He leaves the jail to find John, Riley and Derek
taking his car.

Story continues for everyone but Riley. Cromartie follows with a whole string of skulls in the camera foreground. He sees Ellison going into a church. He goes into the church and finds Ellison praying. Ellison asks if he came to repent.

Derek takes the
first shot from the right side window. Sarah shoots from the left window.
Cameron goes through the front door with the heavy gunfire and does
Cromartie in. Derek takes the fatal shot.

In the last scene the heroes are burying Cromartie to hide him. Ellison askes Sarah "what's next?" She tells him "pretend I died" and continues with "there's
nothing else behind the curtain."

Sarah says she will come back to burn Cromartie later. But she gets a chip
from Cameron and smashes it to bits. John hugs and consuls her in one of the most fan acclaimed scenes of the second season.
9
Executive Producers overlay was on Derek and Jesse... We can see Derek's face but Jesse was walking away from him.

Near the end of the episode Derek buries Fischer's body. Derek and Jesse talk again about Fischer in the future they came from. They conclude Fischer was in Jesse's future but not in the future that Derek came from. This makes it very clear that the time line can and has been changed.

It is clear that Jesse and Derek are from different paths as shown in Executive Producers overlay.
There were three concurrent story lines in this episode. 1) Jesse captures two Charlie Fischers and she and Derek torture them to find out what the older Fischer was up to. Their story illustrates the timeline change. 2) Sarah gets ill in Mexico and has the famous three fever dreams with the threes. 3) Sarah, John and Cameron are on their own to recover Cromartie's chassis but it is missing. They confront Ellison but he denies he has it. It turns out Ellison had the chassis and took it to Cathy Weaver.

Charlie Fischer was looking for a timepiece part, Omega 321, which is the countdown to the end.

1) Jesse captures a senior Charlie Fischer from the future who has planted a work in a military computer. She also captures the present day younger Fischer. The effect of Derek's and Jesse's capture and torture of the younger Fisher is the younger Fischer survives JD and is captured by Skynet in the prison. In the conclusion of the first story line Jesse insists that Fischer was a monster in the future that tortured Derek for months and shows terminators how to extract information from people. She says Derek was obsessed with him. Derek insists he never met him. Derek says the two had two different timelines.

2) Sarah had three dreams and each dream had a significant three in them. There was an enourmous amount of camera detail in each dream that I won't cover.

In the first dream Sarah watched herself watch Cameron watering the ground where Cromartie was buried. Three small saguaro cactii sprouted in the three dots pattern, One embraced John and he liked it.

In the second dream Sarah walked around her house and found a room full of baby incubators. Each incubator had three baby turtles except one. Cameron was holding a baby turtle in swaddling clothes. She held it out to pass it. Sarah reachec out to accept it but Cameron walked by her and gave it to Cromartie.

In the third dream Sarah enters a pit where Cromartie was buried. She walks through the pit to Dr. Sherman's office. There is a table between Sarah and Dr. Sherman. It holds three things: a viking hat with horns, a pink pistol and either a rolled up napkin or diploma. Sherman says she just lies. Sarah says she has other things to do.

Sarah goes to her basement and puts her fingers on the three bloody dots.

3) Cameron and John go to Cromartie's burial site and only find small parts. They go to Ellison's home and Cameron throws him around to try to scare him into telling them where he put the chassis. He denies he has it and ends up on his back on a broken table. Cameron turns him over like Sarah did the turtle in the previous episode.

In his last scene Ellison presents Cromartie's chassis to Catherine Weaver. She looks disappointed. They discuss the situation like a disfunctional married couple. They say thing past each other without communicating what they mean. Ellison tries to say they will figure out to stop them. Catherine says they will work together to remake the future. They agree with words but not understanding.
10
Executive Producers overlay was on Mr. Dakara...

At the end of the episode it was revealed that he was not trying to buy a chip but running a scam to get money out of Sarah.
Sarah leads Derek on a 3 dot chase to buy a chip for Dakara Industries. It
turns out the chip was old technology. Sarah, John, Derek and Cameron get the
money back.

Cameron introduces the game of "go". The rules don't apply at the three point.

Agent Ellison finds that Dr. Sherman was killed by CW's AI as it withheld
cooling for the Dr. as it kept itself operable. At the end of the episode Ellison
finds the AI hooked up to an infantile acting Cromartie.

John goes to Riley's foster home. He sees her beautiful nature posts on her walls and says he like the bear poster best. She says the poster is about the fish that is caught. Riley identifies with the helpless and hapless fish. So Jesse is a bear.

Later on she goes off on her foster parents and tells them they are all bleached skulls (which is how she would see them in the future.)

Riley's clues that she is from the future are piled high. After this episode I also mentioned the mirrors statement. She must be from the future.

Riley meets Jesse in a dress boutique and tells her that "I think I can't do this
anymore." Jesse gives her no out. Riley is falling in love with John and does not want to play him.

Derek confronts Jesse with her role in this present time. After he says "go" she lies. She does not let him know that she is here to break up Cameron from John.
11
Executive Producers overlay was on Cameron as she was looking at data on an old microfilm...

Near the end of the episode it was made very clar in an exchange with Erik that she has chip damage and is concerned about it.
This "stand alone episode" carried 3 story lines but also contained a very important plot point. Although Riley is not a good influence for John and his anonymity she continues to get closer to him and driving a wedge between him and Cameron. Cameron had a healthy but eventually calloused relationship with Erik at the library. While at the
library she discovered a terminator from the 1920's that was planning an execution in 2010.

Riley reveals more about her post JD origin. She said her parents "died when I was little in a fire." Riley gets John into a fight at a party with the host. She has a post JD habit of collecting shiny things.

After they leave the party she takes him to lookout point. Cameron knows he spends time with Riley and appears upset as she holds the laundry basket.

The main story lines are an interweaving of Camerons friendship with Erik, the librarian, and the story of a
terminator that arrived 90 years too early. Cameron concludes the terminator built the Tower because that is the place he needs to execute the governor of California.

She used recorded video history to find the terminator in a wall. She breaks open the wall and stops him. She takes his chip.

Cameron becomes suspicious that Erik's cancer has returned and checks him through the episode. In one of the
last scenes she has an intense exchange with Erik. She tells him his cancer is back. He calls her clueless in a lot of words.

The exchange ends with Cameron admitting she also has a time bomb inside herself - something that
is damaged. This is obviously her chip.
2
Executive Producers was overlayed on Charlie... At the start of the show John noticed all the couples in his schol. He is obviously alone.

Cameron broke a little smile when their escort told them two laborers had emergencies and could not come in that day.
Riley started with the clues about her origin "Do you think about the future much?" She also made John a robot made of Legos.

Greenway was different the second day. His motto became "everything is fine".

Cameron had a human shocky reaction when Greenway was terminated.
12
Executive Producers overlay was on Lauren Fields..
Near the end of the episode we see Lauren again as a resistence nurse who administers the anti-dote to Jesse and Derek. Lauren thanks her for saving her sister.
Sarah is so accustomed to wielding guns and rescuing people she can hold a casual conversation about dinner while doing so.

In the warehouse/bus garage Derek recognizes Lauren from the future.

In the future Derek's CO planned to send a terminator to get past the virus to rescue Sydney. Derek convinces his CO to send him and we see Derek's sanity is marginal since his brother disappered.

Derek is freaked out about all the dead people in the bunker and thinks about killing himself. While looking at his gun Jesse interrupts with "Excuse me - your fly is open."

When Jesse and Derek find Sydney in the future she opens the door - back to present Sydney's mother gives a big push and probably dialates.

Lauren realizes that Derek is from the future and really starts to "get it". Dereks explains her sister saves a lot of lives in the future.

In the future Jesse tells Derek the parallel story of people trying to exterminate rabbits in Austrailia. People
even tried a virus but a few were immune. This was a parallel and encouragement about
humanity surviving Skynet's plague.
When they are in the infirmery, barely alive, Jesse confronts Derek about his suicide thoughts.
13 Sarah's prologue talks about the Spanish explorer De Vaca. After he arrived in
North America all of his companions were killed but the natives and he was captured. He had no friends.

He learned
the culture of his captures and became part of their culture. He became known
as a healer and found his purpose in his new life.
Executive Producers overlay was on Jesse as she opens the door for Riley as they arrive from the future into what will be Jesse's apartment...

Jesse is in control because she survived JD and if familiar with our present culture. Riley, the earthling/alien, is absolutley estatic with the plush luxury that is common to Americans.

There is a lot of interaction and dialogue between Jesse and
Riley, the bear and the fish, to define their rolls. Riley has no real friends.

At the end of the episode we fall effortlessly into the scene preceding the one
when Riley first accosts John.
"Earthlings (Plural) Welcome" is an episode rich in parallelism - and stories. There are a lot of earthling/aliens in this episode; each with their own story that starts with leaving their former lives.

Sarah received the shock therapy of terminators chasing herself and her son and killing her lover. Her total outlook of life is foreign to the rest of the world except to a few friends. She has a couple flash backs to her waitressing life.

Abraham is a transvestite in California who is alien to some people. She uses her deep cover to hide from
her secretive former employer. She was washing off her make-up to make a return appearance as Alan Park when Sarah interrupts. Alan Park - "I'm gonna go pee" really means I'll change in Abraham for a surprise
appearance.

Cameron has been captured by the enemy that kills her race and lives to
keep her race from becoming. Can I write that it red? She is learning their culture.

Riley left her tunnel rat existence with promises from Jesse for a new life before JD. Riley told her she would meet and know John Conner when she was his age. She only had to befriend him and keep him from a terminator. In this episode we finally get confirmation that Jesse inducted Riley from the future.

James Ellison left his life with the FBI to join Cathy Weaver in changing the world. He holds on to his culture and tries to teach it to John Henry. At this point he is the only one acting as a healer. CW drives home the point that Andy Goode, the original Skynet programmer killed by Derek, is gone and she needs Ellison's human touch.

Executive Producers overlay was on Sarah's "Good Wound" as Dr. Felicia was
unwrapping it...

At the last scene of the episode it was revealed to Derek that the windmill of the 3 dots that Sarah was chasing was significant. Sarah had taken the first step toward Skynet.
Continuing the track of Derek's slippery grip on life, Reese tells Sarah about his disorientation in this time. "John is all he has."

Of course Cameron has been worried about Riley for weeks.

John Henry told CW that there was a security breach at the Coltan storage facility with the Heaton Air cover. CW was mad that the call was on an unsecured line.

Dr. Felicia Burnett had injuries including bruises. She was abused by her boyfriend and took sympathy on Sarah with her injuries. The Doctor shot her boyfriend, Elvin with Derek and Sarah as witnesses. Sarah told her to blame it on her.

James Ellison was lead to believe that Weaver would try to stop the creation of the metal monsters. He has helped her by informing her of potential problems at the nuclear power plant and obtaining Cromartie's chassis.

James was overlaid with the Executive Producers credits in the 4th Episode of Season 1. Sarah's chronicle for that episode was about the clay golem that was created to protect the Jews in the city. However it turned on them and started killing them. The creator regretted his creation. At the end of that episode James Ellison gave his business card to Cromartie, who's chassis is now John Henry.

<Slaps face> Ellison is wondering what John Henry may become.

In this episode that was 90% about our heroes finding a Skynet work camp, the Executive Producers credits overlay happened to fall on a short clip of Catherine Weaver talking to Walsh, a Zeira Corp security officer (gone from camera view).

At the end of the episode Walsh is dead but CW is inching toward learning about emotions.
Progression of chronologically linear story:

"Watching for George" = "Vigil"

"We all work for Skynet" = "Service"

"Derek and John take Action" = "Processional"

"The Cover Up" = "Burial"

"Sarah was Right to be Watching" = "Wake"

"Time to Get out of Town" = "Recessional"

Weaver's security spy came to the funeral to look for George McCarthy. He did not bring him to Weaver. He ended up dead by the HK pond.

George happened to miss work that misfortunate morning and knew his life was in danger. He took the HK and left town.
16 Prologue: midnight is the witching hour. Sarah speaks of two female and one male demon creatures that may come through the door. They take what is precious: our famililes, our lives, our children.
Epilogue: Sarah speaks of the witch that is on her victim's chest: She's a nightmare. She's a bad bitch. She's Sarah.
Executive Producer's credits overlay was on Sarah when she was being lied to in her
dream by the dream enemy, Nurse Ratched.

Ths whole episode was about Sarah, but the end revealed that the dream clinic was the
dream. Winston was not the nightmare. He was real. Sarah became the bad bitch she spoke of and killed him.
The episode carried only one story line, but it was convoluted between the reality that
carried the story forward and the dream which was comment on Sarah's mind.

The coyote was real. He appeared in Sarah's dream on the knapp of the orderly. There was a lot more symbolism in Sarah's dream. Fear of losing John to other women in general ("hey tiger") and to Cameron.

Sarah explains that the owner blew up the factory to cover their tracks.

Sarah was right again for another lead.

Winston tells Sarah the she did not kill him when she said he was her first kill with "I'm glad I didn't make you break your streak." That's redundant.

Homage to the basement back in Dungeons and Dragons.

The title refers to two different kinds of fans: Some Must Watch while Some Must Sleep. Some fans rabidly love the show and must watch intensely to understand. Some fans must (probably) sleep and miss out on what happens. The title was a perfect prediction according to the boards-even to page 27 of the official episode thread..
17
The Executive Producers credits overlays were on John looking at Cameron as she was getting something
from a box. We got instant gratification when the rumors about Cameron keeping spare parts was revealed.
At the end of the episode we see Cameron also made a kill switch and gave it to John. It has 3 buttons
inside. One will terminate Cameron.
There was parallelism between the lying and noncommunication between Derek & Jesse and between John and Riley. This happened at the apple shooting range and the Conner house then at Jesse's apt and the Conner front yard.

Cameron had her endoskeleton exposed when she went to confront Riley as she walked her bike away. She was ready to she Riley all and start (& finish) a fight.

Jesse admitted they were on different timelines. She would not talk about Judgement Day to Derek. "Don't
fret about it luv. We'll know it when it happens." She could be hiding something.

The obvious evil CPS counselor was Jesse. The mysterious one was Molly Malloy which is a play on molybdenum alloy which is a term for hardened armor steel. She was most concerned about the guns in the house.

Cameron used the same exact phrase "What am I going to do with you?" to the bird she crushed and to Riley whom she did not immediately kill then John rescued.
IMO "You're just John's sister" was a chant Jesse taught Riley to placate her and give her (false) courage.

Before Riley is killed by Jesse, both John and Riley recite to each other the title of the next episode "Today is the Day".

The kill switch "locket" had 3 dots/buttons.

The second dead bird made a mistake with the power lines or transformer box. It was not killed by Cameron. John is just supposed to think Cameron is still glitching.
18
Executive Producers credits overlay was on Cameron outside after John went inside and was disappearing.

At the end of the episode Cameron calls John
about thinking about her parents and getting something out of her head.
Catherine Weaver favors John Henry over Savannah. She was willing to play hide and seek only when John Henry was part of the game.

John tried unsuccessfully to stowe Cam's parts in a box, but Cam & John looked so guilty when Sarah interrupted them. Scene plants seeds of "Cameron in a box".

Quote from Terminator first movie to Arnold in his apartment: "You gotta dead cat in there?" His living quarters smelled bad. The deep sea drilling rig with the rubber faced terminator smelled really bad also.
19 Derek's first postlude Chronicle spoken to John while he holds then hides the button watch.
Complications-somethings I've learned. Something I've been thinking about. Time the future...You lead...we
follow...Humanity rises or falls...
Executive Producers Credits overlay was on Cromartie with James Ellison looking on. In a departure from
past reveals, we immediately see Cromartie manipulate Ellison into leaving him on that evening. Soon Catherine enters the room and compromises Ellisons "human life is sacred" training.
Bookend: At very start of show we see Derek's Jesse. She is in LOVE with Derek. The windows of her soul cannot hide it.

At the end of the episode we are left wondering if Derek shoots Jesse. H We see Derek squeeze the trigger and hear the click. However Derek tells John that "You lead; we follow. John said to let her go".

The liquid metal terminator had free run of the submarine and was observing the crew. When Jesse shot Qweeg she made the terminator decide to say no to joining humans.

John Henry made huge strides in development: small motor skills, data mining & understanding, incremental converstation, and best of all - Ellison manipulation. (Weaver says "that's progress".)

Breaking rulesis humanity. John Connor told Sarah he "broke the rules" with Riley. CW teaches John Henry that breaking rules may be necessary as a contingency. Jesse broke the military rules.

Cameron conspiracy theory. Sarah asks her why she is here.Jesse gives standard answers of "Protect John, Hunt Skynet, Stop Judgement Day." However her hand is twitching which shows stress just like a lie detectoer test.

Jesse tells John Conner "It's a damn shame" that he would not kill Cameron. She effectively rejects him as leader.

John Connor may have set up the triple point by telling Derek to "let Jesse go." Jesse may live to betray him just as he encounters Catherine Weaver.

John Connor shows his lack of concern for openness and communication by telling his Mother to throw a rug over the floor vault hole. He had no problem with the secret box on the submarine.

Bookend: In the closing scene there is no love in Cam's eyes for John.
20 Sarah's chronicle was about El Viejo Del Monte who the gods turned into Simisco, who was half human & half animal. He was a protector - ever diligent.

Sarah did a demonstration how John Connor could totally hide from her and then find her. In the episode we
see this is what teenage John did in the end of the episode to the next.
The Executive Producers Credits overlay was on John Henry when he was dead. Sarah's chronicle was about El Viejo Del Monte who the gods turned into Simisco, who was half human & half animal. He was a protector - ever diligent. Sound like someone we know?

The big clock in the rental house stairway was modeled after the handless clock that was Grey Fischer's tatoo.

Charlie was the last of three characters that were shown to die by the props on Dr. Sherman's table in Sarah's dream.

Derek and Jesse lost a child. John Henry was dead for a while. John Conner was not lost.

John Henry experiences a slow death during the power down. Catherine orders his resurrenction. John Henry knows what is is to die.
21
Executive Producers Credits were overlayed plainly on James Ellsion with side view of LAPD officer. We think we know and CW thinks she knows what Ellison is about. At the end of the episode we see the LAPD planned a trap around Ellison to capture Sarah. Catherine Weaver's missions are to "Protect John Henry. Precede Skynet. Stop Judgement Day."

Another bookends episode: starts at the indigent graveyard with Kyles grave, and ends at the graveyard of Kyle and brother Derek.
22
Executive Producer's Credits overlay was on Catherine Weaver, front and centered. At the end of the
episode it was finally positively revealed that she was the liquid metal terminator on the Jimmy Carter. (No
surpise there.)

However it was also revealed that she and Cameron were working as a team. Catherine sent a message through James Ellison "Will you join us?" This was a coded message. This obviously upset
Cameron that it was time to donate her chip to Weaver's cause, John Henry.
Cameron's real mission was to right the wrong that Jesse did on the Jimmy Carter. The liquid metal terminator on the Jimmy Carter was Catherine Weaver in our present. Cameron worked to help Sarah raise up John Connor as a good example of humanity. Catherine offered to join the humans. (Or was that a code signal between the two terminators that it was time for Cameron to donate her chip.) Cameron donated her chip to John Henry and gave him mobility.

Catherine Weaver needed to lose some mass to maintain her imitation of Catherine Weaver. Hence the
extra liquid metal (eel) in the tank. The water contailment helped keep it separate.

The Season Finale leaves us with three threes:
Three that left: John Henry, Catherine Weaver and John Connor
Three that stayed: Sarah Connor, James Ellison and Cameron
and The three AI's that are working together: Mother, Son and Disembodied AI

I joined this wiki because: my wife got me watching TSCC.
(She is a Twilight Mom).

The best word to describe me is: unique

My Superpower: I see and hear things others don't.

My Basis of T:SCC Epistemology:
The producers and directors are trying to tell us a story. They have a purpose of keeping us entertained and also tied up with wondering what will happen. They try to keep us watching the show through violence, romance, loose ends and resolved issues.

Loose ends are a lot easier to create and maintain. Resolutions are more difficult. However mystery is an essential part of modern sci-fi drama. It is a key to buzz factor. The writers have done an outstanding job of creating mystery that is not too vague but far enought out of reach to keep it interesting.

The producers and directors and to a degree writers have a plan and timetable for the complete story. I would speculate the shows were made to last until April 19th, 2011.

Directors use the talents of the writers, actors, cameramen, micmen, prop men, editors etc. to tell Their story as they want it presented. They have a huge advantage in controlling all these resources to manipulate us.

Directors communicate the story to us first of all with the camera. It is hard to lie with the camera. Illusions can be shown with the camera. Dialogue is second but also very important. Dialogue can be lies and has shown to be lies.

Besides action drama and mystery the writers generously use parallel and contrast and bookends in the episodes. Most of the episodes progress two or three or even four story lines. Two story lines may be parallel as commentary or explanation. For example in Allison from Palmdale, the startup of Cameron in the flesh was compared to the false labor that Sarah's landlord had. Cameron, as we know her was not not quite "born". John Conner gave her the life she now has.

Contrast is used to illustrate differences between character development. An example is Vick having so much difficulty talking to his "wife". Cameron does much better talking with John.

Parallel story threads are used to illustrate or empasize character development. Vick was with his wife and standing over her at her computer; Cameron was shown with John and standing over him at his computer. The seemingly pointless near delivery of Sarah's baby was a clever insinuation during AFP of who was really being born in that episode (but not quite yet).

Today is the Day Part 2 used bookends to show loving relationships. At the very start of the episode we saw Jesse's eyes sparkle for Derek. That was Derek's Jesse. At the end of the episode we see no love in Cameron's eyes for John. He went to his Mother for comfort.

For those of you who can read this much: Sarah has been in cahootz with the Executive directors. The episodes that have Sarah monologues will have the Executive Producers credit overlayed on a key character. The key character will have a surprise twist or reveal in the end of that episode or will do something very significant in the future.

For starters Charlie was overlayed with the Executive Producers credits while Sarah empasized "knowing your exits" in her monologue. Charlie was the only one to recognize Sarah at the end of the episode after her time jump.

Episodes that do not have monologues follow the same rule. Someone or group will be overlayed with Executive Producers credits. For example "Complications" had Derek and Jesse overlayed with Executive Producers. At the end of the episode Jesse and Derek come to the conclusion that there are two timelines. Derek did not meet Fischer in the future. Jesse remembered him as an important grey. They changed the timeline. (Josh Whedon talked about Complication's two timelines in his videocast.)

An exception to the EPC clue was found in Episode 1.4. Agent Ellison was barely visible in the camera view with the EPC overlay. I have not seen the unnamed LA officer that was center view under the EPC. In Episode 2_19 John Henry was overlayed with the EPC's. The twist for him happened immediately - CW told him to disregard Ellison's "human life is sacred" rule.

I have been browsing the forums and artwork then sharing the ideas with my wife. She got me started. Now she calls me Terminal Sarah Conner for spending so much time. here. That doesn't sound good for a fan name. I couldn't find reference to what we are called. Are we Termies?
